Wicked Whims not working after Sims 4 October update

My game automatically updated earlier today and now wicked whims is having issues. My sims go to the sex location but they don't do anything, the active sim just stands there stuck and the other sim just walks away and does another task. I have to close and reopen my game in order to reset the stuck sim.

I've had this issue as well. 

I downloaded yesterday on a laptop and worked fine, came home today and redownloaded on my computer and animations like showering, touching, flirting all worked however, if I tried to have sex it would break the sims and no animations were present. I uninstalled all the added animations and even un-installed the mod - I even did some of the things older forms suggested but nothing has worked. So It must be an update has broken the animation.

I was searching all over the place to see if others had the same issue and glad I know we are both having the same issue so it isn't just my computer.

Solution: Wait for mod authors to update the mod.

 

Game patches usually break .ts4script files like Wicked Whims. So any mod author that makes a script file needs to update their file to fix whatever is broken. Sometimes they get lucky and nothing breaks, most of the time none of us are that lucky.

I've never had any mods before - when the they break how long does it take for mods like wicked whims to be patched up and running?

How will I know when the mod (wicked whims) is patched and up and running again? like do i just go to the WW website itself, or what website? sorry, im new to this as well and i just want to know how/when/where i can fix it, lol.

If you play with mods, turn off auto-updates. 

 

 

You will need to wait for the mod to be updated for compatibility with the latest patch, until then, remove your mods and play without them.

By the looks of things it's been a pretty huge update to the game, as well as bug fixes, so it will take mod creators some time to make the necessary updates and get them released (they are still human beings after all).  Since everyone was saying how major this update would be I copied my save and tray folders to my desktop and moved all my mods and cc there too, and now I'll be patient and just wait for the important mods I use to be updated and take it from there.

 

Is it weird my new Sim (created to test the waters of the update) and Kyle Kyleson are limited to just woo-hooing in a few specific locations?  Yes.  Will it mean I'll be looking forward to having them fuck in public and attract an audience with their acrobatic shagging?  Also yes.

Like kellykelly said, up to a few days.

 

Sometimes the changes are small enough that the mod authors can roll an update out in a few hours. Or if the mod is on the smaller, less complicated side. Larger mods usually take anywhere between a day to several days.

 

What I do is every time I've got downtime and aren't doing anything else, but I'm on the computer, I do a quick check for a WW update. I'm kind of obsessive like that. Just click the downloads drop down menu at the top of the page, click sims 4, and check the date of the last update for WW. It's always pinned at the top of that list, so it rarely takes more than a few seconds. Check, if not updated go back to what I was doing, if it was updated click it and download it, THEN go back to what I was doing.
