Skin tones

FO4 NG, PC, Win 10. Using MO2.

 

I can't get a brownish tone off NPC skins.  I'm not talking about the old Dark Face Bug. This is just a general cast on the skins.  See picture.

I use Fusion Girl, Cridowskin, and overwrite with Kziitd Fusion Girl Skin to try and blend the head and body better.

 

In Looksmenu, no skin options are listed for when I work on NPCs or on the player character.  I am also trying to keep face and body resolutions matched.

 

I'd appreciate any advice to help me put this straight.  Thanks!

you might try https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/57052 if you are using NAC

also if you have ENB try to tweak the subsurface scattering "ao amount". You can check if that comes from ENB by disabling effects and see if your skin is back to normal

Thanks rjrc.  I use Vogue ENB on Vivid Weathers and I'll try tweaking that. I'll let you know how I get on (may be the 23rd by the time I get to it, now).

Vogue doesn't offer me a subsurface AO scattering amount, and switching ENB off doesn't make any real difference.  Oh well - thanks for the idea! Any others also welcome.

The skin color is changed through face parts and when you don't see any option to change the skin tone there might be something wrong with your Looksmenu installation. Do LM and F4SE match your game version? Then you say you use Cridowskin on Fusion Girl and Kziitd Fusion Girl skin on top. What happens if you use only the one or the other? (Delete and completely reinstall).  Afaik Cridowskin is made for CBBE and I am not sure what effects this can have on Fusion Girl or whether there exists a version for FG.

Thanks for your answer!  I have dropped the Kziit Fusion Girl skin completely, now.  There is a Fusion Girl Patch for Cridowskin that I have installed.

 

Judging by what you said, looks like I was not looking in the right section of Looksmenu, so that solves that for me!

 

Things are looking a lot less brown now. I'm just down to a slight difference between head and body texture colour now.
