Sims 4 Tutorial - Increase Any Animation Duration!

Hi everyone!

 

I would like to start creating short and concise tutorials for some not-that-obvious features within the amazing Wicked Whims mod. In this one, I'll show you an easy way to increase the duration of any animation that you use. Of course, you can make other animations shorter. There's currently no way of doing so within the Wicked Whims option, as far as I am aware, so we'll need to utilize Sims 4 Studio in order to access details of any animation package that you might have.

It's a simple but powerful hack that can completely change the experience. As always, make sure you create backups of your animation packages that you wish to customize!

Well, WW has an option to prevent the stage changing automatically unless you decide to, so the animation can play forever if you want, without the need to modify the package

This is correct, but there are many situations where WW options won't do enough. There are plenty of controls for your own sim, but no way of doing so for NPC-s. What if I don't want to micromanage every switch and actually want to make things as autonomous as possible, for role play reasons - and so on. This did wonders for my gameplay in combination with some other powerful, but very simple coding. 😊
