[spoiler] When you try Shattered Space with different followers

I've gone through Shattered Space with different followers. When you first land and hear the Speaker, Barrett hears it too. But Andreja and Sarah didn't. I'm wondering if there's a hidden Starborn mechanic here. But we'll never find out because of the anemic dialogue and lore in the DLC.

The Captain and Barret have both experience an Artifact Vision. The rest of constellation have not.

 

The artifacts are connected to the Unity through the Armillary and grav drive technology in general. Anasko's predicament was caused by a grav drive experiment.

 

So it seems reasonable that you and Barret can hear Anasko because you've become attuned to the artifacts, while the rest of Constellation have not. Any deeper analysis will likely have to wait until we know more about the Unity and the Creators. But then the next DLC looks like being called Starborn, so there's a good chance we'll find out more at that time.

Personally, I like the fact that not everything is spelled out for us.
