Daedric Prince of Lust Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I'd like to know if there is such thing for Oblivion. There's a mod called CASM for FNV which saves your game (normally, not as an auto save) every few minutes (you can adjust it) or before/while/after something happens (before/after combat, while sneaking, after a quest is completed, etc).
Simmondafeesh Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Would this be what you're looking for? http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/37447/?
Mudchop Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Quick search on the Nexus yielded two results. I can't vouch for any but hopefully they suit your needs. Auto-save and time Autosaver Edit: Ninja'd by 2 minutes
gregathit Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Don't use either of those. Use Streamline instead: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/10400/? It is a 1,000 times better.
Daedric Prince of Lust Posted December 7, 2013 Author Posted December 7, 2013 Thanks, I'll check out the first three and Streamline. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Streamline incompatible with LPK? Something about animations not working when it's installed?I'm also giving a quick read on the comment section; does it really mess with your view distance?
gregathit Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Streamline is perfectly fine with LPK. Yes, it "can" mess with view distance if you want it to. Or you can turn that off. Streamline is a powerful plugin that can help you get the most out of your game. OSR (Oblivion stutter remover) is another good one. It can be used along with Streamline to further tweak things.
Daedric Prince of Lust Posted December 7, 2013 Author Posted December 7, 2013 Thanks, that's great. A couple more questions, because I don't want to have to deal with reorganizing my huge load order yet again after running BOSS. Regarding load order, where should it go? As up/down as possible? Below LPK plugins? Also, which version should I download? The newest beta? My PC isn't so great but it does the job.
gregathit Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 You can safely stick streamline way up at the top of your esp stack (just under the esm files). It won't care. Yes, grab the beta 3.1 version.
