Help with name changing glitch

I'm having an issue where I edited one of my characters in CAS using the UI Cheats mod, and for some reason the game has copied the name of one of the other sims in the household onto another sim and it won't let me change it back. In addition to this I keep getting UI error exceptions in CAS when switching to the sim in question, which would be great if I could actually figure out what is causing them. The only mods I have installed, that I'm aware of, that affect the UI are, UI Cheats, Nisa's Wicked Perversions, Wicked Whims, maybe RPO, maybe Big Dick Problems... If there are any others that might be suspects for this I would like to know.

 

Then again, glitches can be strange, I have had glitches occur and it turns out the mod causing the issue has seemingly nothing to do with the error message I get, so...

You can use Sim Info Manager to change a sims name https://www.patreon.com/posts/mod-sim-info-log-86597581

 

Click Sim Info Toolbox >> Modify: (Sims Name) >> Modify Basic Details >> Change Name

 

After doing that if you have CAS issues with that sim you might have to use MCCC to copy that sims appearance onto another sim.

I'll try this. At least I can get the name annoyance fixed, I hope. Thanks.

 

I also just noticed that in CAS I'm apparently unable to add new perks, so I'm wondering if the two issues are related somehow. I'm also using a mod that gives the ability to add more than the standard amount of perks (I forgot the name of it, but maybe that is the issue).

I was eventually able to find the source of all of these problems... By starting a new game.

 

Apparently these errors were being caused by glitches that had been baked into the save files. I was not really aware that was possible with this game, though after removing every mod that came up as an issue in T-mex's Better Exceptions mod and still getting UI errors and stuff I suspected that the issue might be with the save files themselves, and after starting a new game the errors went away entirely.
