azndragon1 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 So I tried to uninstall sanguine. But after it was gone I could not save afterwards. The game instantly quits and crashes without any warning. This was the second time I ran this mod. First time everything worked. I uninstalled it successfully and it was perfectly fine. The Second attempt however, is where the save bugs. I started the "drinking quest with Sam" but I had to revert back, thinking that it bugged somewhere during my play through. I opened a save before I even talked to Sam. The Mod is already installed for a while and before I talked to Sam, just have not started the quest. I press Began. Waited for the "is watching" appears. Pressed Uninstall... waited around 7 min (I do not know if it should be taking that long or not) then the "safe to uninstall appears". I save and exit. I used Nexus Mod to remove the mod, but when into folder to double check if everything that was in the .7z was surely removed. ran FNIS. Sanguine did not appear on the list. everything patched up with FNIS. Ran SKSE. waited for the tab in SkyUI to dissapear. Refreshed and cleaned sexlab's database (don't know if that helps).... and from this point on I cannot save or autosave. I have "Defeat" installed also but hasn't caused any problems so far for me. One thing I noticed was while I was testing for the cause of this bug - "Defeat" goes into the animation normally. Sanguine during it's first or any "master's check" nothing happens. Unstuck NPC also did nothing, the npc just casually walks away, with my character stuck to the ground. Both jumping 2 hours ingame time and waiting 7 min have the same results. If this is a re post i'm sorry, any help or tips would be very much appreciated
WaxenFigure Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Never, ever uninstall a heavily scripted mod. Skyrim save games keep scripts etc in the save game file so once a heavily scripted mod is installed its going to be with you up to the end of that character. The best thing to do when you decide to stop using a mod is to simply disable the mod. Find and stop all it's quests and then forget it. Make sure you don't start a new character with the mod enabled though if you don't want it (easy with profiles under Mod Organizer).
settet Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 If you scrub your save file of orphaned scripts that should work. Google skyrim papyrus data transfer and a tutorial on how to do it should be one of the first links. This worked for me after I first updated incorrectly and then uninstalled incorrectly.
