Kodiak Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I've only recently come back to Skyrim after a long absence and I'm floored at the abundance of choices when it comes to character customization and CharGen Mods. Currently I use a very dated mod called Extended Color Patcher, which does only what the name suggests by allowing a wider range of skin and hair color, but that's all it does. Digging around, Ive seen several CharGen mods that are introducing new sliders and I was just hoping for some user feedback to help decide which way to go. I've been looking at these two, since one seems to be a requirement for the other. CharGen Extention http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36925/?tab=3&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodimages%2F%3Fid%3D36925%26user%3D1&pUp=1 RaceMenu http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29624/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D29624%26preview%3D&pUp=1 Both seems to be popular but if there is a "latest and greatest" that I'm not seeing, feel free to drop a link.
jimdandy28 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Those are supposed to be used together. The other big option is Enhanced Character Edit. Large part of the reason why there is a poll about the two not far below this thread.

NOT anymore -- compatibility issues persisted that Expired had to create a more compatible ECE-style chargen without messing up the face mesh.

Both of the linked mods are the ones from Expired, where he specifically says to use them together.
