ramster3004 Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 I've tried a lot of problem solving on my side for this, and the load order is a bit messy now because of it, but the same issue has persisted from an organized order to this. I get the game running, seems to work, boot up the animation loader like I've done in the past, but this time it led to the game either crashing when an animation played, or the two models t-posing overlapped on each other. Going back I went to see and did the count animations, and it showed me ~200 ready to register for human, and over a thousand left to register for creatures, with 0 human animations registered and 700 creature ones registered. When I hit register again, it said ~200 animations have been registered, same as the first time. However counting animations, it gave me the same numbers as before, saying everything needs to be registered still. I've tried a few different configurations, clean installs each time, and deleting overwrite and FNIS/Nemesis/Pandora each time to make sure it's a proper clean install. I've tried no creatures and just Nemesis, i've tried the Pandora/FNIS workaround, i've tried just pandora without ZaZ packs. Everytime it lead to the same issue of SLAL saying it's registered animations but not actually doing it. Mostly looking for ideas before I delete all the mods and try to install it in a simpler mana with less mods on another clean install loadorder.txt

Gonna need a crash log from that. 23 minutes ago, ramster3004 said: ...or the two models t-posing That's a behavior file issue. Make sure there's no errors or warnings in FNIS. I assume the same goes for Nemesis. 25 minutes ago, ramster3004 said: FNIS/Nemesis/Pandora each time to make sure it's a proper clean install Not all 3 one after the other I hope. 26 minutes ago, ramster3004 said: I went to see and did the count animations, and it showed me ~200 ready to register for human, and over a thousand left to register for creatures, with 0 human animations registered and 700 creature ones registered. I use old versions of mods but this still looks like the same old issue of the counts being unreliable as well as registering animations being a one-shot thing. Basically I find that every time I hit the register animations button, I end up with a different number of animations in SL. If I add an animation pack and register it, I end up with duplicate entries for random already existing animations. Out of all methods, the one I've found the most reliable is to hit the reset animation register button in SL's MCM then exit out and wait in the console for SLAL to register animations again. Enable debug mode in SL before you do this so that you can see the progress. As far as I know, the only way to have a perfectly clean and organized animation list is to start a new game and only ever register SLAL animations once.
MadMansGun Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Quote 5. make sure you have "Allow Creature Animation" checked in SexLab's MCM settings. 6. turn off "Match Creature Gender" in sexlab's MCM settings, if this setting is enabled some animations won't play. 7. did you forget to install the FNIS Creature Pack? install it and rerun the GenerateFNISforUsers.exe, then do steps 5 & 8 NOTE1: if you do have the Creature Pack but some creatures are just playing idle animations during sex or not moving try clicking on "De-Install Creatures" in FNIS, after it's done running click on "Update FNIS Behavior" (doing this will delete all the creature behavior files generated by FNIS and remake new ones...that is assuming you DO have the FNIS Creature Pack installed) NOTE2: try turning on the "hkx file compatibly check" in FNIS to see if you installed the wrong version/s of any animation packs. 8. you may need to reload the animations, go to the Animation Loader's MCM and then: 8.1. click on the "Disable All" button. 8.2. click on "Rebuild Animation Registry", then Wait for the message to pop up*. 8.3. click on "Reload JSON". 8.4. click on "Enable All". 8.5. click on "Count Animations" and make sure nothing is over 1000 (the stock SexLab v1.65 animation limit), turn off some animations if they are. 8.6. click on "Register Animations", then Wait for the message to pop up*. *if you like you can press "~" on your keyboard to open the console so you can watch it Register everything, just make sure you close it before you try to click on anything.

I assume the same goes for Nemesis. Nemesis gave me no errors, and the only errors from FNIS were too many animations and the mind control mod not being compatible with SE (which it supposedly is?). 37 minutes ago, traison said: Not all 3 one after the other I hope. hahaha nope. First I did the FNIS Nemesis, then removed creatures and just did Nemesis, then tried the FNIS/Pandora ZaZ method and then just Pandora with no ZaZ animations. 52 minutes ago, traison said: Out of all methods, the one I've found the most reliable is to hit the reset animation register button in SL's MCM then exit out and wait in the console for SLAL to register animations again. Might give me a clue on why animations never seem to register! FWIW, when i do a clean install, it seems to say there are the ~700 creature animations registered before I do anything. Makes me think I didn't clean install properly, but I deleted all my non mod organizer skyrim files in steam and Documents, as well as deleting and reinstalling each of FNIS, Nemesis and Pandora as well as overwrites to be sure nothing was lingering. And I just did try a new save, but game doesn't crash anymore so no crash log, and unfortunately I deleted the previous ones when clean installing (mistake on my part, oops). They just t-pose on each other. I am pretty sure I've installed SL correctly. I will try removing the mind control mod since that's the only mod that shows up with any sort of error when running FNIS, and see if that fixes it. Otherwise I'll delete and reinstall a minimal set of mods to get SL running in a fresh MO2 instance, since there must be something in the load error causing issues. I've always had to fix things when I installed sexlab but never have I been stumped for a week unable to get it working, so I'm lost lol.

I believe most of them are MNC, so I might try removing that and running it again. Wonder how people get that to work with other animation mods then.... And Nothing shows up in console when registering animations either, which makes sense since whenever I click Register Animations, it says it registers 278 animations, even when I do it multiple times in one save. Hopefully that fixes it!

Hopefully that fixes it! mnc only has 70 sexlab animations in it. you are confusing the hkx count with the sexlab count, a 2 actor 5 stage animation in sexlab would = 10 hkx files in fnis.
