Molevalence Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Well here's the quick rundown. The other day I was playing New Vegas. Everything was fine and I decided to take a break for a few days. I got a update for my NVIDIA drivers the day before yesterday and I was like alright whatever. I jump into the game about 20 minutes ago and I got 2 errors: 1. Project Nevada had a error because it cannot read you HUD extentions. 2. MCM cannot access its menu files. Either the files are missing, an error has occured with the NVSE plug in, or my firewall is preventing it. I am no mod expert but from the time I have been here I know it was the graphics update because just a couple days ago before the update I could play my game and nothing was wrong. Can anyone shed some light before I have to do open heart surgery into folders? Update: I completely removed both mods that were causing the errors. Downloaded them, reinstalled them ran the installation instructions and no change. Bah... >.<

Thank you for the option though.
Molevalence Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 Update: Not much else I can do. This is beyond me. Suggestions were offered and I tried solving the problem with the information I know but if all else fails I will just reinstall all my mods over again from scratch. Hopefully that will rectify the problem but I don't want to do this until I know there is nothing else I can do. I will post the errors in exact text as shown to see if this helps: Project Nevada Error: There seems to be a problem with your Project Nevada installation because the HUD extentions were not detected - Removed and reinstalled with no change MCM Error: The Mod Configure Menu cannot access it's menu files. Either the files are missing, and error has occurred with the NVSE plugin, or a firewall/UAC is preventing access. You may need to reinstall the mod - tried and nothing changed Update your visual 32 bit C++ 2010 Redistributable Package - tried and nothing changed Change your firewall/UAC settings - tried and nothing changed Thank you all for your time.

beta000 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Download and install uHud, http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/38961/?. It should help your issues.
Molevalence Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 Download and install uHud, http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/38961/?. It should help your issues. I tried this out and no change. Thank you for the suggestion though. Update: Decided to try a new game to check a few things but whatever this error did it really messed things up. Textures on most if not all mods are messed up. Foreheads are missing, massive black spots on skin textures, hair is plain and not lighting or texture at all, weapons, color and the weapon itself is just messed up.
Nichoice Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Um...Have you hit the max number of mods? The game engine can only handle so many mods, and this number is different for each computer. Some say its around 60 plugins including esm, some say its 80...some even up to 120. When the engine hits the max number, weird glitches like that happen...like not being able to speck with NPC, containers not opening, meshes and textures missing etc. And from your OP, have you tried re-installing NVSE? In regards to Project Nevada + Primary Needs, you need to install on top of those two unified hud => http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/38961/?
beta000 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Mae sure Archive invalidation is working and verify the base New Vegas install through steam. It sounds like some data was corrupted.
Molevalence Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 Mae sure Archive invalidation is working and verify the base New Vegas install through steam. It sounds like some data was corrupted. Yeah I was about to do a complete reinstall of the game and mods but did not have the patience and tried a system restore. Thankfully there was a restore point on the 29th of November and I decided why not. Good news everything is back to normal for the most part. Textures are fine, mods are working and no more errors save for the MCM detects multiple installations which I will take care of. That restore point restored it right before the graphics driver update so I turned off the driver automatic updates and will leave it alone for now. First time I ever did a system restore where it actually helped. So far I think everything is back to normal. One can only hope... O.o
Guest user29 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 You first step should be to uninstall the nvidia auto updater.
