CTD moment start begins to load

Trying to help friend get his game going. After selecting new game, can just hear water drips from the area you load (Alt Star - Live Another Live) into before the game CTD. Any insight would be appreciated.

We dug through his mods and it was Skyclimb. Someone else had updated the dll for it for 1170.
