poporaltemporal Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 There are now several SL optimization mods and I am wondering which of them is most compatible and best way to go. I still get major slow alignment and animation lookup with the newest SL....... After all these years. 1

My personal experience: None of them. And if you have speed issues, chances are sexlab alone is not the only reason. It's just the one where you notice a stressed system, since SL scenes are so script heavy (and in some cases break if things get done too slowly). If what you want is speed, my advice is: 1. Make sure you have PapyrusTweaks. Go into the configfile and raise ops/frame to 1500-2000. If you have not done this yet, there you go: x15 Speed increase. You can stop here and not bother with the next steps. 2. If you run other CPU-heavy mods, consider replacing them (if possible midgame) with simpler ones that do similiar things. 3. If your CPU has less than 6 cores, buy a better one. It's not expensive: You can find older ones for the price of a cheeseburger and fries. (Notice that Papyrus does NOT scale with cores. It only uses two cores maximum. However, more cores mean other things than papyrus can be offloaded to the extra cores, so the maincore is less stressed. This is true for quadcore CPU only - 8-cores will provide little benefit over six, regarding papyrus performance) Edited August 19, 2024 by libertyordeath 1
