[Q] How to change the black/white colored Textures into any Color?

Hello everyone, I have this certain piece of armor in black and i want to change its color to blue or red or yellow. So How can i do that. Can't just use the brush tool or any paint tool because it will remove the textures pattern as well.

Have you tried using colour balance (ctrl-B )?

I'm assuming your using photoshop.

Yes I am using photoshop 7, and no I haven't. I'll check it out..

Ok yeah I works by doing the color balacing, Thanks..

But some of the black color doesn't change..

Try changing to shadows in colour balance
