belegost Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 (edited) Looking for exact RGB value of Pei's skin color. I'm trying to replicate the exact same tone in RM for my own character, but although I am close, I can't seem to get it just right. Edited July 15, 2024 by belegost
traison Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 (edited) To do that you'd have to: Match the skin diffuse, normal, specular and subsurface scattering textures. Match the body mesh color and light properties. Match the ENB, CF and/or ReShade settings. Match the game's brightness and contrast settings. Have the exact same IMOD settings and be in the exact same cell as where that screenshot was taken. Have the exact same weather as when that screenshot was taken. Potentially you may even have to match the hardware to some textent as there may be color translation happening in the GPU depending on what kind of a monitor is connected to it; not all monitors run Adobe RGB for instance. ...so how exact are we talking here? If just matching the skin color is enough, disregarding how it actually shows on your setup then open the jslot file and set the tintInfo color of the SkinTone.dds file to 4283609599: "tintInfo" : [ { "color" : 4283609599, "index" : 0, "texture" : "Actors\\Character\\Character Assets\\TintMasks\\SkinTone.dds" }, ... Edit: Disclaimer: No idea if this works. This is what I'd do so I'm going with that. Feel free to complain if it doesn't. Edited July 15, 2024 by traison 1

I need the color to be exact, everything else you mentioned is just fluff and irrelevant at this point. EDIT: Nvm, I found this: https://convertingcolors.com/hsl-color-27_100_66.html fed it the number you provided and got the color. Much obliged. Edited July 15, 2024 by belegost

Locate the jslot preset. Open it in notepad. Locate the tintInfo array and SkinTone.dds object. Change the color value. Save. Start the game. Load the RM preset. Edit: Or the less techy way would be to just download that mod you linked, open its RM preset and use your phone to take a picture of the skin color sliders... but where's the fun in that?? This is not time to engage in the luxury of showing off or to take the tranquilizing drug of phone flipping. Now is the time to make real the promise of keyboard shortcuts known. Now it the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of phone pictures to the sunlit path of proper screenshots. I have a dream today. I have a dream that one day out in the vast expanses of the internet the sons of men and the son of mer will be able to sit down together at the table of F12. Edited July 15, 2024 by belegost 1
