Feet height offset fix? (general, not outfit related)

I assume the following is a vanilla skyrim limitation, rather than a tech issue with specific bodies/clothes. Hence i'm posting in Search and Find, instead of techsupport.

Skyrim aligns the actor's altitude based on what it perceives as the "ground". This does work properly with my body and equipment. No problem there. Instead the issue is things like carpets or pelts on the ground do not count as "floor" - they're just clutter without collision, floating slightly above the ground. This means those things (carpets etc) actually clip through the actor's feet. But since those objects are paper-thin, you barely ever notice when wearing shoes.

Problem is, barefoot it is clearly visible, with half my actor's toes sinking into the carpet.

Now i understand fixing this "properly" is way too much complexity for such a minor issue (like detecting if there's a carpet under the feet). Instead i'm looking for a mod that let's me simply elevate my char by about 0.5 skyrim-units. I realize this will make actor's feet no longer perfectly touch the floor in the absense of clutter such as carpets. That's fine by me, since i will barely ever notice it.

Does such a mod exist that just let's me add an offset to the char's Z position? I know Improved Camera has this for 1st person, but i'm not aware of something like this for 3rd person. And the Heelsfix mod only works for heels, right?

Get rugs with collision.  Some of the in-game rugs have that, and it is fairly easy to update the meshes to have collision.

Which is a pretty good simulation for a thick carpet, given the game's technical limitations.

1) The original HDT heels mod had a global adjust option in the MCM.  Not sure if that exists for SE.

2) You could add a heel offset to all the in-game feet and shoe meshes.  Seems a lot of work.

3) You could edit all the skeletons upward by 0.5 Z.  Should be either the NPC Root node or the NPC COM node.  That's fairly global, should be only a half dozen skeletons needing that modification.

Unfortunally the current up to date "Heels Fix" mod is all automagical. No manual user overrides - only toggles to enable or disable certain automagic features. And it's all targeting high heel scenarios, nothing else.

I searched a bit around Nexus and couldn't find a replacer for vanilla rugs and pelts with collision meshes.

So it seems there is no mod to address the problem. Only the DIY options you mentioned.
