Akaviri Humanoid Race Mod?

Hi guys, so I've wanted to make an asian race themed akaviri character for some time now but whenever I went to start a character using this mod Akaviri Race at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) along with the high poly head mod that goes with it I have issues, such as not being able to select most of my custom hairs and having a permanent scar on my face from an npc in the interesting npcs mod for some reason. I believe I also had an issue selecting eyebrows. So yeah the mod is exactly what I'm looking for but has too many issues in my games character creator to go through with it. Just wondering if anyone knew of a similar asian race mod to be used role playing an akaviri descendant or had an edit of the mod I linked that corrected the issues I mentioned.

Ultimately, it is also an interesting topic for me - because I have been using "exotic" races for a long time - like the Dwemer or the "Snow Elves" - these are based on another race revision -> "The Timelost Dwemer"

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/22499

they not only bring the look of the Dwemer with them - but also completely new skills ... up to the construction of Dwemer machines

---

Most presents for the player or companion with an East Asian appearance (including clothing) are ultimately based on the Nord race ... I have more than enough of them for several playthroughs

If we take the canon-compliant traditions of the TES universe as a basis - there are more animal races than human races on the Akavir continent

https://www.elderscrollsportal.de/almanach/Akavir

https://www.elderscrollsportal.de/almanach/Invasion_der_Tsaesci

https://www.elderscrollsportal.de/almanach/Tsaesci

In "Maids 2" female representatives of a kind of "assassin" guild appear - who are human refugees from the Akavir continent ... and use the typical armor and weapons from the time of the Akavir invasion.

However, none of them have an East Asian appearance - this was obviously not important enough to the mod author to implement.

---

When the mod group around "Serana dead sexy" came out - Serana took on an East Asian appearance - the background is the "Kangmina" revision or the essential integration of this mod into the overall system.

The fact that Serana is now an "Asian" - did not please all users of this mod group ... but for me it enabled a significant expansion of her family background and the general vampire lore.

Other authors of blog stories have repeatedly pointed out the possibility of social connections between the vampire clans of Tamriel and those of Akavir ... so in my "plot" Serana's grandmother comes from a (human-inhabited) peripheral area of the Akavir continent.

And Serana's "Asian" genes are more evident than her mother's ... which then drove her father into racist madness, among other things.

But here too, everything is just for the sake of appearance - Serana is still a Nord in the base... even if the author has given her incredibly powerful powers -> the "Queen of Screams" is actually the program

---

As for the scar on the face - it already appears in the standard races... some kind of "uncleanliness" that is dragged on via the "race menu".

I usually get rid of it by uploading a present.

Hair? I now have 1,700 different hairstyles to choose from - half of them are SMP... at least 200 also suit classic Asian characters

Its a formlist issue.  Fairly easy to fix with xEdit and making a manual patch.  Try putting it last in your load order and see if the lack of hairs etc persists (keep in mind this is for testing - if that fixes the problem, then the fix has also introduced a bunch of new problems).

Load order doesn't seem to have any change on the hairs, it's something else. Must be something wrong with the mesh of the race itself because like I said it effects eyebrows and the scar glitch and I'm sure other problems. I would try to overwrite the meshes and textures with my own but looking in the files from the mod I don't see a path for the races meshes and textures. I might just bypass the custom race route like I'd prefer and use a vanilla race with asian preset. According to lore the tsaesci/akaviri mingled and reproduced with imperials resulting in a race of imperial/akaviri hybrid called Rim-men who settled northern elsweyr. I think I could accept just making an imperial race, eastern inspired with that in mind. Thanks for the input guys.

I dont know if it would work for you but i too have been roleplaying a Tsaeci/Akavir character but no race offered what i was looking for, so i followed the words of SsethTzeentach "graft shit together till it works". . . what i did needed was:

1.Succubus race https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/80089?tab=images because it has nails, tails and horns and also its own bodyslide you can build like your regular body but you can modify separatley and not change the body of all other females in game.
2.All eyes for all Races https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/122542 to use the Orc eyes since they sort of look like snakes.
3.Dint facepart mod, V0.72b (i lost the link for this sorry) since it adds elven ears but more importantly eyelashes that can work better than vanilla and are more customaziable.
4.Tullius hairs pack 3 [SE] Tullius Hair 3 SMP Pack 537+343 added version of vanilla head size fix2 (fix3) - Tullius Channel (arca.live) Because it adds lots of oriental type hairs and all are SMP.
5.Either BNP skin on the optional section https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/65274?tab=files has an Extra options 2-4k CBBE that adds an Akavir skin but you gonna ignore that and use the optional Orc skin with the young face that brings as optional, it give characters a sort of scaled texture, OR Argonian Skin Personalization edit 1.2 with neck corrected Argonian Argonian Skin Personal Correction Edition 1.2 (Neck Correction) - Tullius Channel (arca.live) that gives characters an Argonian skin. (this one works better with Sucubus race tails since it also covers them, so you can have an even more snake looking char.) Since Succubus race uses separated textures from vanilla they wont affect other characters, just remember to place directly in the texture folder DO NOT install with vortex.
6. CL SAWP https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/81180 it has no bodyslide but the armors and weapon are pretty neat.

7. 3DM kotetsu kimono by Yurika(I cant find the link for the moment on my saves sorry) it gives a sexy but not overly slutty type of kimono that comes in several colors.
8.For Honor Nobushi 3BA, gives a cool armor with a mask and a naginata.
9.Red Ninja Kurenai https://www.sunjeongskyrimse.com/post/red-ninja-kurenai gives you a sexy robe and underwear.
6.Finally you gonna watch a lot of japanese women on google images and try so hard to make a face on skyrim and get a terrible face like I did OR you can just look for a preset on nexus (i dont have one that comes to mind since i kept the one i did)

And all of that will give you something like this but hopefully better:

Yeah I see what you're saying about using the succubus race. I did want to use a custom race of some kind because I use multiple mods that reference the players race and if I'm role playing a tsaeci/akaviri it kind of ruins it for me if npcs refer to me as a generic nord or imperial. Anyway, you've given me some more consideration about it so thank you. Also I'm sure you have it if you're roleplaying an akaviri but just in case, my main inspiration for starting an akaviri character was this mod EGIL Shadow of Akavir BHUNP at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) which I really like the design of and also the japanese inspired weapons from Immersive Weapons at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)

yea i used the Egil armor, i liked it but since i use 2 bodies 1 for armors and 1 nude, when i use it the robe and the undewear are mismatched since the robe uses the armor bodyslide and the underwear the nude one, but if you only use 1 body its not a problem.
I could also recomend to you:
https://rektas.wixsite.com/website/post/rektas-kimono-warrior Kimono Warrior, https://modbooru.com/mods/rektas-insurgent-geisha.840 Insurgent Geisha,  Gentle Blade Set Emma (here on LL), https://twitter.com/s1kkha/status/1254199787517329409 Hunter of Darkness, or just gold ole reliable TAWOBA https://www.sunjeongskyrimse.com/post/the-amazing-world-of-bikini-armors-remastered-6-0 . cant never go wrong with bikini armor. i sometimes use the V1 Blades Shoulder Pads since they have that samurai type armor more than the others. and finally https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/61664 i like how the mouth mask looks more than the EGIL one.

I've decided I want to patch this race like you said but I can't find how to do it online. I found a thread saying I need to add headpartallraceminusbeast to my custom race but I don't know where to do that or if that is the only edit I need to make. Assuming it's a quick process, I'd appreciate if you could explain to me what edits I need to make in sseedit to make all the custom eyebrows and hairs etc. etc. from vanilla races work for the akaviri race.

So I actually just found headpartallraceminusbeast here. But if that shows up then I'd think that isn't the issue? I'm not really sure what I'm looking at.😐

Oh I also neglected to add that I can select custom hairs and everything really works as it should on my initial character creation. It's only after I reopen racemenu that it does something weird with my head and then it adds a scar that I'm unable to remove and it removes the brow selection of racemenu and most of my hair selection.

1) On the screen in the image, right click at the top where it says the mod name (Akaviri Race.esp) and select "copy as override ..."

2) It will give a list of mods to copy into, select at the bottom a "new file" that is an ESP

3) Name it something like "Akaviri Race Patch" or whatever you want.

4) It will create a new mod with that name, and it will contain only the copy of the formlist.

5) Drag and drop all of the red entries into the last mod on the list (your new mod).  It will ask if you want to add that mod as a master, say yes.

6) When done, there should be no more red entries.

7) Test in game to verify it is working.  Make sure to activate the mod in your mod manager.  It should be near the end of the load order.

EDIT:  Assuming it functions, you will want to do this same thing (steps 1 copying into your new mod, step 5 to make sure every race is transferred) with all formlists that reference races for headparts.  They are all in the same area alphabetically.  They'll be thing like "HeadPartsHumans", etc.  They are probably already in the race mods, you're just creating a "final" list that has everything in it.

btw: The "Imperial Centurion" whatever mod shouldn't even have that formlist in it.  It is adding nothing and that is the mod currently causing some of your issues.  You may want to clean that mod using the xEdit "Quick Clean" function.

Okay I did everything you said up to stage 4. I saw the red entries but I didn't see how I could drag them to my new mod. Anyway I saw what you said about the imperial centurion battle dress mod and so I uninstalled the 2 conflicting files, the imperial centurion one and the snow elf race as I'm no longer using those right now anyway and it looks like it fixed it so thank you.

I've got everything working now I think. Thanks for the help. Here is what I came up with. I mostly leaned into the real-life eastern appearance while utilizing the snake-like eyes of the tsaesci.
