[SOLVED] Borked texture blend? Missing mesh?

Been trying to mod SSE again for the first time in a couple years. Somewhere around day 5 or 6 of the install using @Aylis Beginner's thread as the template. Gone through the full list about 4.5 times, adding or pruning where necessary. So far the game plays great, save for this nagging issue with snow and roads.

This is on the west bend by Broken Fang Cave during morning rain on 7th Evening Star. Pretty much all the road to the west is like this, but everything off-road is beautiful and running smooth. Tried digging through a bunch of mod author pages for clues. Maybe a vertex color issue? Picked a bad option in a FOMOD pack (though I have since re-installed and kajiggered just about everything at least once)? I tried finding a happy medium in the load order between the Aylis list and the mod authors' recommendations, so I don't think something is being overwritten that shouldn't. Headscratcher. Maybe it's my AE version. Anyone have a problem like this on 1170?

 

I'll add the MO2 txt files in case they'll clear it up. Don't judge me, I'm not a pro. And thanks in advance for reading.

Oh, uh. I guess the hard edge, looks like a paper cutout. I hadn't considered the snow might be purple. Lemme spawn some other weathers to see.

Missing snow on the road I'd guess could be because the road mesh has no snow shader assocated with it. I forget if this is a mesh or a plugin record issue (probably the latter).

 

  1. Open the console.
  2. Click on the road.
  3. Note down its reference and/or base form id.
  4. Open xEdit.
  5. Inspect the road record and its associated mesh. Focus on things changed by mods (obviously).

 

Edit: Snow material (for the shader?) is defined in the plugin. It seems the vanilla roads do not have this set so what you're seeing is probably intended and what you'd need is a mod that has snow materials (shaders?) for roads:

Well, I haven't been able to find a distinct culprit, but I'm starting to suspect a parallax issue somewhere in the kludged-together snow files. When I stand on the cobbled road, rotate the camera and watch the feet, everything looks very solid. When I do the same on the snow surface, the snow texture is "sliding" around under the feet. So I'm going back through everything and hoping to fix that, and the hard paper cutout edge, and the purple color.

EDIT: Culprit was TPBF. Was running 4.3.0 and disabled, thereafter no more purple.
