these new character models are a lot more appealing and i see there was a nude mod for an older version of the game but that seems long abandoned

Though this game has a decent size and talented mod community few seem interested in nsfw mods. I wouldn't mind a mod to gives nude versions/torn clothing of some of female zombies as they already have nice jiggle physics. There aren't much of any npc except the 5 traders.

The model are indeed pretty cool, but I think the game is now too old and people lost interest... I mean it was in EA since 10 years.

What would be great is to have AI working with the NPC, so they would be at least a bit interesting.

Games are never too old for modding. (Old games are often easier to mod. People still mod Doom, for example.)

Games might be too old for high profit sales, but that's a different issue.

modding for this game is going to take off in a big way in the next years, i have looked at so many mods over all the years and what people are able to do and it was allways the same story that people where just being held back by the yearly update that made their mods unusable. Theres an insane amount of concept mods where someone just wanted to try out if they can do something and then never came back to it so a lot of groundwork has allready been done and can be looked at.

I will see what I can do about the traders at least. I did work with trader Jen's model to make an NSFW model for her, a little more torn up rather than outright taking all clothing off, player characters were remade fairly comprehensively, however. It should just be a bunch of meshes now since the old sliders for blend shapes no longer exist it might prove to be more tedious. It's not difficult but tedious. I have had lots of experience modding fully working (and drivable) cars and models in 7d2d

That would be cool. I think nude/torn clothing zombies would be immersive too.

Just stopping by to say yes please to mods on the new character models. I think non-sexualized nudity belongs in most survival games in all honesty so it should just be a part of the game, but it isn't so I hope someone is up to the task. I also noticed some zombies have body physics so I think it would be great if we could get them working on the characters too.

Torn clothing especially on Zombies sounds realistic and lore friendly, but playable characters should be able to go full nude in survival games as I think it adds a lot to the feeling of vulnerability and helplessness and makes finding/crafting armour feel more rewarding. As someone with modding experience for this game, do you think it might be possible to do this?

I further that sentiment; the new models are too hot not to have some nude patch. Someone SAVE us from the censoring rags!

fun fact, in the original 7 Days to Die Live Action Trailer, the player/protagonist DOES start out fully naked as he's walking through the snow, freezing.
Shame on the Fun Pimps for taking the fun out of that and putting censoring crap on the player at start! They went against their own lore!

With update 1.1 it broke the Sexy Zombie mod which converted most normal zombies into nude/sexy variants. It was the greatest mod for 7D2D alongside sexy traders. I really hope someone fixes this soon!

Am I the only one thinking that a full body latex suit (with gas mask, filters and/or oxygen tank) is a proper outfit for zombie apocalypse?
Can someone please make a mod for it?

I gave it a good few hours of attempting but a lot more has changed with the models than I thought. There is a vrm mod that is pretty big and has lots of people using it so hopefully that gets/got updated for 1.1

You can use any .vrm model with it. There are a tonne of sites that let you get nsfw models as .vrm formats, or even convert one yourself it's not very hard to do at all with the .vrm unity SDK

Hi. I also follow mods that add player customization.

The problem with such mods is that the developers provided modders with a bad base from the start. In order:

1. The game does not have a normal third-person camera.

2. Bad walking animation for a female character.

3. The new customization system was released simplified and unfinished.

4. The body settings sliders wes removed.

5. The full skin color palette was removed.

6. There are no body part physics for the player.

7. Clothes as a class were completely removed and only armor was left.

Since the release, I have only seen 1 mod that adds new clothes/armor.
