Funny, but jarring and immersion breaking. Has anyone else had this? I've been searching through mods one by one but so far cannot find anything. It would help to know what the name of the soundfile is that affects death audio so I can search for the specific file name. If it were me I would look in \data\sound and try to find the .wav file, then compare its 'date modified' to the installation date of your mods to track down which mod installation is responsible. If there's no .wav file then it's likely contained within one of the .bsa files associated with your active mods.

I need to find the name of the files that are for death screams. Then I'd be able to more easily track the mod that changed it. Using mod organizer so I don't think the original files would show a change anyway.
Kastagir Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Look for files in the folders \data\sound\voice \data\sound\fx\npc\human\combat These files are normally stored inside the BSA files, so any loose files will be installed by a mod. You don't need to identify individual filenames (unless one is easily identifiable as a death sound by its filename). Just look at the modified date of the files. If a lot of them have the same date they were all likely installed by a single mod and you can track down that mod in your mod manager by the date it was installed.
