Genderflipping NPCs in CK or SF1Edit

Recommended Posts

So I have been experimenting with changing the genders of npcs, specially the adoring fan (male to female). When I do, even though they look okay in the CK,..

But the npc no longer has a head and loses their voice in game. Any ideas?

Figured it out. For those that are interested.

There is a tab on the top for facial customization. Beyond selecting hair color and such there are two buttons, one that processes textures and the other meshes and geometry. The CreationKitCustom.ini needs to be created and couple of lines added to it.

[Debug]
bAlwaysGenerateCpuGeometryExtraFields=1
bEnableEditorSaveGeometry=1

After making that ini change, process the NPCs textures and meshes which will be saved into a texture, mesh, and geometry folders. Those will need to be packed with the esm when sharing the npc mod with others.

Right now I'm working on converting the adoring fan's voice into female which has been a real journey. Also, not sure yet if I can get her lips to move even if the new voice files play at the right times.

My goal is to at least get to the "it just works" stage and then publish.
