Zor2k13
Just reloaded my pc it really needed it, latest drivers for everything and I want to change how I am using male and female body and animation mods mostly male stuff so sex mods will look and work correctly when males are involved as I play a male character and want to benefit from all the sex mods I have not used yet like sexlab and all the stuff I want for sexlab. Being able to boink my wife or female housecarl/follower is something I wanted since my first playthrough of skyrim. I want to use SOS for males but I don't like the idea of all the scripting and male junk related stuff in shops in the game or whatever. I know there is SOS light it still does some extensive things? I dunno so I am asking here... I want something simple for males so their junk is covered by underwear when dead, player kills male bandit for example but the underwear comes off for sex animations. When underwear comes off the male junk is limp unless a sex animation is applied by a mod like sexlab mods. Same thing for futa mods that use the same male junk models? From what I understand in the CK the body parts are just in a list? so for futa race just add the junk to the list so the futa always has it "on" instead of being equipped and removable. Of course this means the futa characters have their own race for this to work so any mods that have spells that turn characters into futa just change the spell targets race? I understand the SOS mods make the transition between limp and ready animated maybe this is where the scripting comes in that is extensive but why can't there just be a simple mod that works on male body mods and supported female body mods? Do we really need that transition animation if it is causing a lot of problems? I am asking many questions because I am at the "vanilla" stage for skyrim and have not yet installed any mods since I am testing my reload with latest drivers and stuff. Using amd 7900 series card and the latest drivers for me are great even with shadows set to 8192 and blurred something at 32. Either I have not set everything correctly or it is all working really well because there are only very minor skips when I first coc into an area now but before I had a lot of jittering with older drivers and bogged down system. Shadows in skyrim suck bad they are blocks that make everything look like crap. Changing to iShadowMapResolution=8192 and to iBlurDeferredShadowMask=32 in skyrimprefs.ini helps a lot but they are still blocky. I am running at 8x AA and 8x AF still kind of blocky. All my settings configured as ultra or high the first time skyrim checked my hardware after install. I really hate how those crap shadows make mods like CBBE and other body mods look so bad. germ
TLDR, You can use Undies underneath to have npcs wear underwear. And there is no better male body replacer then SOS, so just use it. And as far as installing mods, it's not difficult, there's no way to make it any easier. Link to comment
hryh23k9823u
But SOS is scripted and many people is not willing to add this load of script to its savegame just for the 'male junk'. Also its compatibility with SexLab 1.24 its more than arguable. Instead, I'd use better males - flavoured version or SOS Light Version, both 100% script free. Link to comment
Zor2k13
Thanks for the replies so far, I have been looking into this whole body replacer thing in more detail since before now the male body I was using was a mod with some underwear already on it got it from nexus. So now if I want males to have junk and support for futa mod later for females I have only TWO choices. One is to use better males for males and make my own futa stuff later with their own race but ALL npc including PC will be sticking straight out all the time? or use SOS mod for males now and wait for SOS futa to be sorted out around here later. The main problem I have with SOS is the scripts but also just found out that since it uses slot 52 body slot, default armors and clothes don't know to cover that slot when worn so the junk will stick out. Well the SOS male mod alters the defaults in their esp file but what about ALL custom armors and clothes? So to use SOS I would have to alter the esp file for EVERY SINGLE custom armor and clothes mod I use now and later? Does sexlab know how to properly animate male and female futa bodies that have limp junk? I could just use those better males bodies limp version if that is the case for now and get some futa race mod later. I am sure I can find some underwear mods if sexlab works with limp bodies. nutluck
Hello, have a related question to the OP. I am completely new to modding. In fact I have never modding anything as of yet. I only just got Skyrim yesterday and have only played it a little to make sure it runs fine as I had a issue I won't bore you with on vanilla install. So if someone used the recommended Better males bodies suggested above. You can install the eract and flacide versions of it and sexlab will switch between them when a sex mod is started? Or do you have to always use only the eract version to use sexlab. I did try searching but as I said completely new to this and I am trying to understand it all but some of it is still just a bit to confusing for me to easily follow. Thanks in advance to anyone that answers. Link to comment
Zor2k13
Ok so I have been doing some research on SOS light version and found some info at the compatibility section of their page at the bottom of it: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/35463//? It says there "SexLab - Compatible, just turn off the Male Body Naked option, and the slot 52 undress." So that means sexlab knows to remove the underwear used by the SOS main mod? Turning off the male body naked option tells sexlab not to use nude suits so that is needed but why turn off slot 52 undress? I don't understand how the SOS mods work yet going to test them soon but I wish the modders had put the underwear in the light version too. Right now I am thinking about going with light version simply because xp32 and his skeleton mod now support SOS on BOTH male and female skeletons so there is no longer any need to use the skeletons provided by either of the SOS mods and there is underwear! I can add it to the light version not a problem or just make a simple underwear mod whatever so dead enemies don't have their junk sticking out. The thing I am dreading is to alter any and ALL mods I use that alter clothing and armor to cover slot 52. That is gonna take a while and I don't like knowing that I have to do it. fortunately SOS mods have already altered all default stuff but after that I have to do it. Also any mod I make in the future I will have to alter that slot for any clothes armor stuff. I can either mod mods to support slot 52 or I can go around with my junk sticking straight out and leaving valuable armors on dead enemies so yeah that slot 52 change is comin. I want to use some lesbo mods too like adlut toys merchant: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24421/? so I can get some kinky stuff for lesbo and alternative sex with females and of course sexlab has support for strapons I think it comes with one but does it use slot 52? I think it was slot 51 for those things on females. I am surprised this info is not listed somewhere unless I have simply missed it on some main description page for sexlab or something. Does anyone have more details on how to use SOS with sexlab? Before I decided to get into all this properly functioning male sex mod support stuff I was just running around with this mod for male bodies: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19159/? Would be great to see the underwear from that mod used with SOS light mod. Looking at the body meshes in nifskope they appear compatible and look better than that dam speedo in the SOS mods. edited If you go the SOS light route you should download this fixer mod too: Looks like this mod fixes the missing textures/screwed up textures with SOS light.
