can't absorb dragon souls?

I killed the first dragon at the tower to start the questline, but I don't absorb his soul and the guards go running away in fear. What could be causing this? I tried the quest on three new characters just to be sure it wasn't just my werewolf character that couldn't do it.

download the up date of FNIS, i had the same bug a few days ago, and it was what fixed it for me

USK = USKP = Unofficial Skyrim Patch

Unless he meant the german USK, which would make no sense. ^^

Dragonsoul Absorb Fix

Even tho it's incorporated into the USKP, some people still had problems and this little mod fiixed it for them.
So i guess, it's worth a try for you too.

That fixed it. I haven't killed a dragon since I reinstalled so I didn't know about the bug.
