Custom follower doesn't animate on save load

Right, so i created a custom follower, following the steps in some tutorials, it wasn't very hard, but some things just won't work:

 

1. i was faced with the color mismatch bug, apparently i had to export the facegen data with ctrl+f4, however due to using tint replacers which are bigger than 256x256, the CK failed miserably at creating the tint texture, it was gray and had other colour stripes, i believe the CK tries to resize the files or something, but they end up one on top of each other or just glitch into whatever was placed in the textures folder. i also believe this is how you obtain the mismatch forehead colour bug -> using a bad tint;

 

anyway i fixed this by moving the character assets/tintmasks folder from it's place, BUT my character has the lame low quality vanilla makeup, cause you know the tint was made with vanilla assets; i keep seeing follower mods that don't have this problem, what can i do???

 

2. not all voice types have the follower dialogue, it took me a while to figure this out, i added the follower to the needed factions, it didn't work, i made disposition 75, it didn't work, as in no "follow me" option in game, managed to grab a mod that makes the other voicetypes have the option, but it's silent dialogue.

 

what voicetypes work as followers? and which one would be suited for a highelf female follower?

 

3. i was very happy to see i manged to get close to final product, but after i opened the game and loaded the save, the follower was just standing there in the same position you get when you render the full actor in CK, it would not animate at all, i could talk to it but it was still standing like that, i could tell her to follow me but it wouldn't move from there, it just stayed like that

 

if i load a different save first, then the one with the follower it works, but that's just plain dumb, can't i do something to make it work properly?

 

 

Notes: I have run FNIS; the follower was made with ECE

the only master besides Skyrim and Update should be SGHairPackBase and maybe CharacterMakingExtender.esp, but i think the CK doesn't use esp as masters, also the appearance of the character varies with textures used, i use SG textures with athletic sporty map

Ok the facegen files structure was wrong, but that was eaily fixed. Where can I get SGHairPackBase (or whatever the UNKNOWN.esm It's telling me it needs is.)?

 

I.E. What mod does it come from and I can google it up and dl it from the Nexus or LL or wherever.

Nevermind, I just found it on LL :)

 

 

Edit: Doh, nope that was an .esp I found.  I'm seeing an unknown master in the CK though, so I need something.

I don't have the meshes/textures for her hair.  Could you attach them for me. Just need the ones she uses.

pretty much looks the same, any changes made?

 

I changed the incorrect folder structure you sent it to me in. Placed her in the world and she looked fine in my game.  I didn't even re-export or touch her hair or anything I just put the folder structure where it should be.

yes i didn't made the correct patch in the files i sent you, since you asked me for them i assumed you know where they should go;

 

the issues i'm having are, makeup is vanilla for the follower, not for the player, the CK bugs the facetint for the follower if i use custom tintmasks, voiceset doesn't allow follower dialogue, i'm using a mod that enables it, but it's just silent dialogue, only text lines, and if i load a save game with the follower in it, the follower is just rendered like in the CK, it doesn't move, just stands straight with the arms a little away from the body, i have to reload an early save first then the follower one to make it work.

the eyes being different is intentional, however the makeup on the follower looks different, the nose and cheeks are redder, and the lipstick doesn't reach the lip outline cause it uses the vanilla assets, where as the player uses custom and way bigger ones

That's what the mod probably does.  Allows you to have a follower that doesn't have the right voice set, but the author probably didn't record new lines.  So they'd say  their combat and generic non face to face folower dialogue lines audibly, but their face to face dialogue would function in a silent manner.

1. I'm not able to reproduce this.  You do know she has facial scars right?

2.  I changed her voice to the same as Jenassa's as haughty won't work with any mod I know of.  (Though it's possible there's a ton of follower voice mods I don't know of.)

ok ty,  1. yes she has scars, well if you don't know that's ok, 2. no, like i said just one that adds the lines only to the other types, ty for the list i needed that, 3. don't know why is happening, i just need to reload an earlier save then the one i want to play so yeah
