It says you can start at any point in the playthrough, and i stupidly assumed that it meant i could start halfway through the main questline and with a shitload of stuff, including many quest rewards. how do i get all my shit back

First of all, thank you for this link - I didn't know about this starter mod

 

but - listen - it's a starter mod - i.e. you start your game with it - ergo you haven't collected anything or looted any "holy items" (aka received rewards from the Daedra princes such as the "Star of Azura")

 

if you try it later in the game - you should keep your inventory (items, weapons, clothing, gold, etc.) in a safe chest

Thanks for linking the mod page as that meant I got pinged by the forum about this topic.

 

All I can say is "oops!" -- I never even thought about what would actually happen if somebody started this mod mid-playthrough as I intended it strictly as an early-game mod, though I can see roleplay purposes for starting the quest later in a gameplay. I'll add a warning to the mod page about the item removal.
