hotrack Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 So I'm doing a very simple Helgen post-attack mod of civilian squatters populating Helgen after the non-respawning bandits [especially with USSEP addition of no-respawn HelgenEncounterZone to the exterior bandits] are cleared. I've added a few bedrolls in the keep, a cooking pot, added replacement for the non-sleeping common bed statics with usable furniture beds (with appropriate parent enabling/disabling), and plan to add pickaxe mining markers, hammering markers for the neutral scavenger NPCs I plan to give the immersion of some (not lots) people squatting/scavenging in the ruins. As I'm pretty much a noob, I'm unsure what I can do to make the civilians enable only after ALL the bandits are cleared, given that Helgen is not some 'clearable' location. I appreciate any ideas.
Personally, I would recommend another mod -> "Helgen reborn"
DarkBlade13 Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 You can just take a look at my blog. Adding a few npc's is very simple. You just add them from the npc list. You make them into your own npc's. Start them as disabled. Write a tiny script to enable them after you reach a certain point in the questline. All your script needs to have is the ObjectReference Property HelgenNPC1 Auto HelgenNPC1.Enable() Obviously you need to add these lines in the quest script somewhere. Then you add the modified script to your plugin mod file. Don't forget to link the property either or it won't work. If you have more question read my blog or send me a message. 1
