req Wuthering waves

since the pc client is already up, i tried doing a quick test mod, but the game instantly closes on launch if there's a modded pak and sig file in the folder. Not sure how modding will work.

Maybe 3DMigoto?
or find a way to bypass the launcher's checksum (like PSO2's 3rd party launcher [PSO2 Tweaker])

Hi @jmedia7! Glad to see you're on board! How do you pak the files from this game? using unrealpak? Do we also need to mod the sig files? those are new to me. I was able to export the assets, and modify them but when adding it into the game, like I normally do, nothing happens, I'd be happy if at least it crash it lol.

Yeah, using unrealpak for this game zTest_P\Client\Content\Aki\Character\Role\FemaleM\Nvzhu\R2T1PlayerFemaleMd10011\Model       is the folder structure

Some games all you have to do is copy and paste one of the sig files then rename it to the name of your pak file like zTest_P.sig

hm, so ni no kuni crossworlds did this where patch files are stored in a different folder. I was able to mod that game by replacing one of the pak files in the patch folder that was like a 1kb localization pak file with my pak file. And that worked. Might be able to do that for this game. But i'm worried about getting banned if the anticheat instantly detects it. 

Tried it. 

So the game does load the modded pak file and doesn't crash, but the in game auto updates the pak file back to the original version sadly.

Yeah game have verification like genshin impact do we gonna bypass it like we did on genshin impact.

so far the game crashes if you load it with a modded pak file, doesnt matter the name or the sig file but if you copy an OG pak file and sig and rename the game will load them, there's either some external reading or a sig file that needs to be done in a speficic way to have mods

theres a thing called FVirtualBone in the USkeletalMesh, this wasn't discovered by me because even when i managed to load the game with a modded pak file the game crashed, we need to figure what it even does and how to reimplement it in a edited unreal 4.26 to have functional mesh mods
