NoNickNeeded Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 I am currently trying to turn overlays for Makeup into overlays for FacePaint, so they can use glow. I have had some partial succes, but now I'm stuck. I managed to get it to show up under Face Paint by editing the script and replacing all instances of Warpaint with FacePaint, and by inverting the dds file and turning white to alpha, I managed to not have the overlay make the rest of the head black.... but now I'm stuck. The overlay is the colour it is in the dds file, with just a slight modification toward the tint colour, rather than becoming the tint colour. When I look at other overlays, the dds seem to be just a black or dark grey shape of the overlay on an otherwise alpha channel, the same as the dds I edited, and they take the colour completely. What am I missing? I edited the dss files with GIMP. Does this maybe lack some function necessary to make this work?

The whiter you make it, the less color will actually show as it shifts towards a value of pure white. If you want it to show saturated colors, make sure it is a darker gray color. 1
NoNickNeeded Posted May 1, 2024 Author Posted May 1, 2024 Looks like my previous dark grey was too dark. Seems like the sweet spot for colour saturation is, ironically 69/69/69 RGB. ^^ Thanks for the help. 1
