endomiel Posted April 23, 2024 Posted April 23, 2024 Hey. I'm not new to modding my games. However, there was a sticky with detailed instruction on how to get a stable FO4 with plenty of mods. It was not the "RTFM" manual stickied here for people new to modding. Â Does anyone recall what I'm talking about? Is that thread still around? Â Thanks in advance!
TheVolcanoGodess Posted April 23, 2024 Posted April 23, 2024 Are you referring to the AAF thread or just a general thread about modding FO4?
BDNelson Posted April 23, 2024 Posted April 23, 2024 There's a modding guide in the Steam\Fallout 4 page, "Guides". I use that one for the base game installations, it does not cover female body construction like it should though. I had to figure that out for myself, THAT took years and I only recently stumbled onto the right way to install CBBE 3BBB. Finding one single guide that covers everything is not possible in my opinion. You have to gather information from many different sources. That being said, the sexual mods need to be installed via the "AAF Fucking Guide" here on LL, it's constantly updated for our convenance, yay! lol. 1
Varithina Posted April 23, 2024 Posted April 23, 2024 This maybe, though it does point to the [AAF] The manual for setting up AAF.

Personally, I assume that many authors will NOT update their Fallout mods (I have many mods whose authors are no longer active) ... in my opinion there is no point in waiting here. Since the modding scene in Fallout is already much thinner in terms of personnel than in Skyrim - it will take significantly longer until a significant number of mods are adapted. I'm also personally waiting for "Fallout London" - because of the shitty update (which no one really needs) - the release date has been postponed indefinitely!
endomiel Posted April 24, 2024 Author Posted April 24, 2024 But if the update breaks most mods, the alternative is playing it unmodded? Wouldn't it cause the space-tie continuum to collapse, if you play a Bethesda game unmodded?? 😉  Or is worth to grab FO4 on GoG for € 8 to be able to select earlier versions?

Aylis is only just come back after some pretty serious illness, so it may take a while to even get updated, there again it will also depend on how quickly, if at all some of the mods do get updated, quite a few people have stopped modding so well it may take some time, the only ones that may well cause issues are the script extender stuff and anything based of that, the textures and meshes should work just fine, though well who knows just what the hell the new update will actually do in the end.
