easims4tw Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 Hello, not sure if this is the place to post this or if it has already been discussed, but recently I have been getting into 3d printing and was curious if there was some way to get 3d models/poses/animations from my game into a editor where they could be saved into a model and 3d printed. To be honest I'm fairly new to 3d printing and have just been using STL files found online to print so I'm not even sure if that would be possible, so I am asking the community here for thoughts.

(but i don't use bender, so don't ask me how to use it) 1

Also, completely off topic but, I am a fan of your work in the Skyrim mod development and want to thank you for all you do for the community here
South8028 Posted April 26, 2024 Posted April 26, 2024 (edited) If you have 3ds (But you need access to 3ds version 2013-2014) then this is not difficult. There are all the tools for importing and exporting models and havoc animations. Any poses can be quickly baked with resetXForm, the mesh adjusted and the model ready for printing. You can assemble scenes as compositions from game models and characters. 3ds has many modifiers that allow you to quickly prepare any model for printing. You can even use 3D printing blanks as rig meshes by first copying skeleton bones into them. Edited April 26, 2024 by South8028
