ebrius
Hi Folks, Regarding creature animations via SexLab Defeat 4.1, what could cause some creatures to not work and just stand there? For me, the draugrs just stand in the frozen "T" stance. However, other creatures like wolves and falmers work just fine. Looking through the forums, other people have either the same issue or other creatures (e.g. wolves) not working. Everyone seems to be using the latest FNIS (4.02 + 4.04 creature), and I can't figure out what's wrong. Any ideas? P.S. There is only one "generate" button for FNIS 4.02, right? Edit 1: The draugr animation works if it is my companion (poor Lydia) being raped ._. Edit 2: The draugr animation now ALSO works on my player character... for reasons unknown. Thanks, Lydia? Guest
I'm having this issue as well. Haven't tested a lot of creature animations, but I know that wolves work and draugrs don't. However, the draugr animations also aren't playing for companions (as they did for OP). I have the latest FNIS/creatures installed etc etc. Yesterday draugr animations worked fine, which narrows the potential conflicting mods to the things I've added recently. Only things I've added since it last worked are the SL Hormones mod and the Ultimate Follower Overhaul (plus its various patches). In addition (possibly related, though this isn't a problem I'm looking for a solution to atm cause I don't want to pull attention away from the issue at hand), I had an issue related to the Defeat mod which prompted me to reinstall it (to no avail, but I'll get to that later). PC rape animation from a draugr (the last time I'm aware of it working) was interrupted before it could complete, and I got stuck with the wounded/raped debuff (which prevented my health etc from regenerating). Didn't notice it until all my autosaves had been overwritten, and as my last manual save was about half an hour back I spent 20-30 minutes trying to fix it before giving up and reloading an older save... only to find that it was affected as well. All of my saves for that character, for whatever reason, had the debuff permanently, though other characters were unaffected. I uninstalled Defeat, made a clean save and reinstalled it. The debuff disappeared from the active effects list, but it was still actually affecting me. That was last night, and I've gone through maybe 12 hours of gameplay without finding a solution (though now that I think of it, messing with my character in the racemenu might be enough to shake it off?). Instead I've been using the console to set my regen rates (quite a pain, as it resets back to 0 on every death/load). I highly doubt the mods I listed above have anything to do with the issue, so I'm assuming for the moment that it's the problem I just described or something yet unknown. I've tried rebuilding/cleaning/resetting animations and basically everything short of just reinstalling SexLab to get the animations working, but no luck yet. I'll let you know if I find any kind of permanent solution. EDIT: Searched around for a bit in relation to the second issue I had, finally found this thread. TL;DR "player.resurrect 1" in console removes all active buffs/debuffs, including the raped debuff... however, I could only do it on the saves where the actual debuff was visible. So... time to start console editing quest completion I guess. Still, that seemed to completely solve THAT problem, have yet to see if that or my complete reinstall of SL solves the animation issues. I'll update when I have more info. EDIT2: After a reinstallation of the sexlab framework and all creature-related SL mods, the animation problem seems to be resolved. Didn't mess with any of my non-SexLab mods, so the issue (at least for me) was completely within the SL framework. I'm assuming my other problem likely wasn't related at all, but I can't be certain because I didn't test the fixes separately and I don't feel like spending another 2 hours setting it all up again. Anyway. Hope this helped anyone with similar problems. Link to comment
Yuni
In relation to my similar problem of wolf animations not playing, I ah... I reinstalled the sexlab framework, still no dice for me. I reinstalled it, and defeat, and any other creature related mods I had. Edit: Much tinkering late, dogs play fine, but wolves are broken entirely. Not just the animations, the WOLVES themselves are statues as if their FNIS behaviors are damaged. I reinstalled FNIS, I reinstalled FNIS creatures. This started when, before uninstalling the old version of creatures, I hit 'uninstall creatures', because I figured I needed to when uninstalling the old version. Then I re-installed FNIS, then re-installed creatures, and now wolves, and JUST wolves, are mannequins. Ice wolves too, but those are a type of wolf. Edit 2: Turns out FNIS itself needed an update to go with the Creatures update, so everything is working fine for me now too. To whomever else is having this problem, reinstall sexlab and all creature related mods completely, ALSO REINSTALL/UPDATE THE WHOLE FNIS PACKAGE, and it should function properly. Yay wolf animations!
