Hats off to Ankahet, but it's been 4 years since the pinned CE Mod Server List and the game has changed significantly.

First we'll talk mods. There was significantly upheaval in the modding world for Conan when Age of Sorcery was first announced and it looked like Pippi would be supported. There has been additional drama, which has resulted in several other great mods sunsetting. RIP Chains of Hyboria and RA. Other mods have been supplanted due to others improving significantly in features & functionality. I'll keep the Modlist tops of trees and focused on more mature experiences.

 

CONAN EXILES

For the uninitiated, Conan Exiles is a survival/crafting game that released early access in May of 2018. It is a Dark, Low Fantasy game based on the Robert E. Howard Hyborian Age Universe with a tremendous amount of detailed lore and setting developed over the years. Conan uses a heavily modified Unreal Engine 4.15, which makes it impossible for them to ever upgrade the game to next gen UE, but it does have an excellent dev kit and extensive modding support and many years of added content, making the game one of the most expansive and built out games of its kind, particularly for mature players. Community has average player count of ~6,600 on steam and typically peaks daily in the 10-12k range, which makes it on the smaller side for games of this type, but with a very dedicated and consistent fanbase. The right server can make this game similar to a multiplayer modded skyrim.

 

Mods:

There are numerous gameplay mods, but will briefly go over the ones for a lovers lab type experience.

The TOT suite: reality is that tot mods are now central to any modded server:

TOT SUDO is required for all of them

Other important ones include TOT Admin, TOT Roleplay Redux (inherited from Nom and multiplayer only), Tot Chat, and Tot Custom (design your own character)

Devious Desires has all of your animation needs as well as a plethora of lockable wearables

Restricted Exiles has lockable wearables, a leash system to drag other players around, ownership system and lockable furniture. Multiplayer only

CNC Some wearables. collars, cuffs, etc.

Thrall Wars Dungeon Mod extensive mod with numerous capturable thralls who can create devices and wearables. Has locking and leash system, though less developed than RE. Also has milking system.

Slavermod2 - spicy animations on placables like rugs, barrel, cross and throne

Body mods: Choose 1 

Vanilla Plus - least clipping

New Gen - more detailed meshes

Aquilonian Females - lots of clothing options

Wonderbody - lots of clothing options

WAUS - Unique Body option. Looks nice, but not as compatible with other mod outfit selections

There are numerous Face, Hair and clothing, mods as well. What you get will depend on what server you join

 

Servers:

A lot goes into deciding on what server is right for you. There are the obvious, PVE vs PVP. Level of conflict, performance, modlist, setting, ruleset, unique offerings & mechanics,  Here is small list of some suggestions. Server popularity tends to wax and wane over time, so keeping this list current is challenging.

Hey man, this would be really useful if the links worked. Unless these servers are linked in another discord server? Nothing pops up in my Discord when I click on them.

I'm really suprised to find the mods on steam. Hope to run them on single player but if it doesn't work multiplayer might be fun 🫠

Highly recommend fixing discord CHANNEL links to INVITE llinks, because linking to a non-joined server's message is throwing you to a closest channel ID of the servers you've joined.

Conan Exiles is pretty underestimated. With the mods its quite pleasant.
