Skill level up sound looping and others

[BAB PEEG]

Like the title says my skill level sounds are now looping and also my breathing audio for running out of stamina either just isn't there or when it does play it's really loud and distorted.

A couple of ideas come to mind:

1. Make sure nothing is altering the following records:
    [FE 000] SilentSkill.esp (3A6A42EB) \ Sound Marker \ 00018538 <UISkillIncrease>
    [00] Skyrim.esm (7CAB85A9) \ Sound Descriptor \ 0003C7CF <UISkillIncreaseSD>
2. Make sure nothing is replacing the following files:
   fx\ui\ui_skill_increase.wav
3. Check your Windows audio settings. Play around with the audio quality setting. Some games do for instance not like 48khz, and only work properly with 44khz. Also consider changing to Stereo output, if you're using something fancy like 7.1.

 

Edit: Just checked my own settings: W11, Realtek audio chip, Skyrim SE 1.5.97 works fine with 48khz.
