I agree with your concept of taking the character and making the mod reflect the original artwork. A lot of the time, the mods have oversized breasts, which is fine, but not my thing. Yeah unfortunately MD mods do not work for Duel Links. Don't worry it doesn't brick your game or anything. It looks like the game can't read MD's coding so it defaults to it's regular settings. I've only tried this with Exosister cards so I can't say anything for other mods.
