Aki K Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 There are a lot of outfits mods I used to use for LE that were all "CBBE." The same mods exist for SE, but they all use different versions of CBBE. One uses 3BA, one uses Dibella's touch, one uses some other type I've never heard of, etc. First Question: With SE is there a way to use multiple bodytypes at the same time? My outfit selection shrinks to a 3rd or less of what it once was if I have to stick with just one. I intend to stick to CBBE in some form as it is my favorite. But is it possible to use CBBE 3ba, dibella's touch, etc. outfits at the same time? Maybe the game switches which body is used when the outfit is worn? Question 2: SMP setup. Can you just install and play or do I actually have to start fiddling with these files and pray things work?
Bastak21 Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 Not that I know again but you can check Obody and BOSSE for skyrim se.

Without modifying files, yes, along as the textures use the same UV mapping. Meaning, if you have body textures from CBBE, you can't use UNP based meshes without the textures looking weird. Don't know what DT is based on if anything. Morphs won't work reliably as far as I know, so things like BodyGen may not be practical, SLIF may give you trouble etc. With morphs potentially working unreliably, things will look weird when undressing an NPC as they body shape will change. 20 minutes ago, Aki K said: SMP setup. Never seen a physics setup that didn't do *something* after being installed, but on the other hand, I haven't seen a realistic or fully functioning setup either. Nearly weightless balloon tits seems to be the thing everyone goes for - I prefer something more realistic myself. Its not too uncommon to have missing things as well like Bakafactory ABC 2.80 shipping with missing and invalid definitions for several races. The issues with physics setups usually start when the person installing them (assuming a CBPC/SMP hybrid) doesn't know what they're doing and ends up with both systems affecting the same nodes; or when mods are installed that contain unexpected physics definitions like wigs/dresses/skirts that also change the way the boobs jiggle. Another common thing is people wanting to disable belly bulging effects, but they do not know which system the effect is coming from. Thus, I personally wouldn't recommend going blindly into this for 2 reasons: You're going to have to know whats going on within them sooner or later, unless you plan to keep your physics stuff bare-bones. There's far too much potential to not go messing with this stuff.

I also don't mind if the body looks a bit weird when removing clothes due to a change. As long as things look "normal" with the clothes on and off and no weird physics like the breasts warping when crouching. I have no intent to use UNP, just CBBE based stuff. Regarding the physics, my hope is to find something that is just plug and play. I "tried" to learn SMP some time ago and it is way too eldritch for me lol. I have an "SMP" mod for LE (at least it calls itself SMP) that is plug and play. I'm hoping to find something similarly pre-setup for SE now that I'm finally delving into the upgrade a bit.

Probably refering to "All-In-One HDT SMP Setup". I do not recall seeing anything like that for SE. 7 minutes ago, Aki K said: no weird physics like the breasts warping when crouching Vertex weight painting may be different between bodies that share the same origins. I recall CBBE, CBBE SMP, CBBE 3BA and CBBE 3BAv2 are all quite similarly painted as I've used a blend of these at one point without major issues. Don't know about DT. If one body has less or more intense weight painting on the tits for instance, then you may see a major difference in the effect your physics preset has.
