Cannot load sexout mods (get to title screen...almost!)

Hi all,

 

I had some problems with my new vegas and mods (even Vegas on its own was crashing), so I uninstalled everything and reinstalled it all from scratch, updating a few mods on the way. Fun times

 

Now, I can get New Vegas to load, but when I use any of the sexout mods it loads up to the title screen (so past the company credits, up to the menu screen with the nevada ranger background)... then just sits there D: Doesn't load any further to the menu. I double checked my install on the mods but I get the feeling I may be missing something (I have to be missing something!)

Don't panic. If you google this error lots of people who know nothing will tell you that you need to reinstall the game. Almost certainly you don't and it won't help.

 

 

This is a common problem caused by having a bad plugin- either one that has been corrupted, or has a master that has been updated and is no longer compatible (or not loaded at all).

 

First, are you using the current versions of all sexout mods?

 

Second, these 2 mods:

 

- SexoutProstitutes.esp
- SexoutRapers.esp

 

are very old and no longer supported by anyone. Try disabling them and see if it starts working.

 

If this does not fix it then disable all mods except the vanilla game (NV + DLC) and try again. If it then starts working you can reenable your mods a few at a time until you track down the specific problem plugin and can delete just that.

If this fixes it, let us know what the problem plugin was or if not there are a few more things you can try.

 

In future when posting load orders, use 'FOMM -> Load Order -> Export' to save as a text file, because then it shows what is enabled/disabled

I'm newbie too but i see a few potential errors:

-Sexout shared resources is outdated and no more needed afaik, so it can be disabled

-Sexout Zaz and smaller talk should be higher in the load order, Sexout Powder gangers enables the epstein zaz workshop quest requiring sexout zaz i think

I was wondering about those extra mods, didn't have them before. Downloading on lack of sleep does not help with the coherency and comprehension D:

 

I disabled shared resources and moved ZAZ down to be above MCM, and I disabled rapers and prostitutes, and viola! I has a menu
