Is there a guide of sort listing all the instances Serah has new dialogue and how to trigger them while playing Vigilant? I played with her for the first time and she only talked about the mod at the beginning of Coldharbour, during the Eldergleam Vision and after returning back to nirn near Riverwood. She did had a very few random comments while travelling Coldharbour and her post vigilant dialogue but that was about it. I was told that she's supposed to have a a lot more dialogue than that in act 3 especially during act 4.

She doesn't have any unique dialogue in act 3, it was a mistake in numbering because I thought Coldharbour was act 3 instead of 4.

It's not that she gets a ton more lines in Act 4, but it's the change in demeanor after stepping into Coldharbour that make it seem that way.

Beside the one at the beginning and the end, dialogues are meant to subtle and randomly fire while you traverse the world. They're are clues that the you're suppose to puts together along with her diary and songs to give hint as why you two were sent to Coldharbour.

If I remember correctly, she unlocks one more song in act 4; along with a few more short conversation in her random  "a septim for your thought" branch. It's been a while so I don't remember the exact name.

Thank you for clarifying. I think the mod is fantastic and it's incredible the amount of work and thought you put into it. Really hoping for updates for the mod if you ever decide to return again.

Just curious though.

Spoiler

Considering how Vigilant ends with both of you making a promise to let each other go if they ever feel like it, what was the end for your character and Serah? Did he part away from her after some time or did both them continue to live together in life and in the afterlife? Or do they cease to exist as characters after Unslaad?

Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words. I don't have plans for anymore update until Vicn finish Glenmoril.

Spoiler

The journey through Vigilant is symbolic (or maybe literally) of you undoing all the crimes your other half (Molag Bal) committed.

Molag Bal wants to be loved, but he doesn't receives it despite forcing Lamae to stay with him for eternity.

The ending in Vigilant with Serah is a bond without commitments, the total opposite of Molag and Lamae. The promise she asked of you is to not make the same mistake as Molag (bring her back by turning her) and Lamae (Praying to Kyne to bring him back) once did.

Unslaad is supplementary information that give you insight that Lizz will eventually become Kyne. Because you created Lizz in Unslaad, she in turn bring you back to life as Molag in Vigilant (past). This is the cycle that bound to repeats forever. You becoming Molag Mal, Serana becomes Lamae, and Lizz becomes Eldergleam, a story that re-write itself.

The difference in THIS cycle is that you complete Vigilant with SERAH, giving her insight into CHIME, the ability to manipulate the world's logic. In a sense, freeing both of you from the Cycle, giving a branching path for the future. It's suppose to be open-ended, you're both free to choose your own path afterward. You can continue traveling together or just leave her somewhere, it's up to you.

Canonically, you two will continue journey together and complete Glenmoril, and then Unslaad again. Glenmoril is suppose to go a lot deeper in the concept of CHIME, but since I don't have too much details, I'll just wait to see what happen.

Thats good to know. I'm looking for the next update! Also any chance on adding new Serah content for the base game?

Spoiler

Okay that explains it. I was confused at first because I thought Serah actually was with you while you were doing Vigilant for the first time so her acting like its new felt weird to me. I think I remember Aelarr said you can still exist as person even after the events of Unslaad so I had Serah curing her vampirism and spend the rest of her life and afterlife with the dragonborn but I'm not sure whether to make a point where they do separate or remain together until the end.

How did it end for your OC Dragonborn and Serah? Was always interested in reading theories and narratives other people come up with the setting.

Sorry for the late reply, been very busy as of late.

I've exhausted all the dialogues I want her to say, so I don't think I'll be adding anything for the base. As for the ending

Spoiler

I think I might have explain my thought incorrectly the last time. It's weird how I think of one thing but has different interpretation with I put them in words.

You, the player might have done Vigilant many times before in different Cycle. But THIS is the suppose to be the FIRST and LAST time it was completed with Serah. The assumption is that all the time you did it before only gave you HALF of the conclusion. You only complete the Molag Bal redemption arch, but not Lamae story. Only when you finish this with Serah you get the whole picture, freeing both yourself from Molag and Serah from Lamae.

Before Serah was an independent mod, I usually end my playthrough (after all the DLC and mods) at the early stage of Glenmoril. My character and Serah kinda adopt the girl and settle down from adventuring. I don't know the full story of Glenmoril but she is suppose to be a reincarnation of Kyne or something like that? It's fitting for Serah narrative since related to Kyne bringing the Bard back in my narrative.

With the mod and the add-on completed. I can see that after the Dragonborn dies of old age, Serah and Mina will eventually end up at the castle in Unslaad to stay with Uliss and Lizz.

Lizz and Mina is suppose to be the pillars of the next world, a wold without Cycle. Lizz is born from your dragon soul, while Mina is birth from dragon's blood. Serah has a random dialogue about this after Vigilant I think, something about "Blood and Soul were once distinct from each other, but now they're inseparable".

One thing I want to point out. Aelarr is the translator, he/she did not make create the story. Serah narrative is my interpretation of the VICN's story. It might be confusing if you mix two different interpretations together.

- A good mod you should try after is "Beyond Reach". There are many mirroring concepts in that mod that reflects my view of Vigilant.

Daughter Character Model is just a basic follower with esp format. Will your mod work with the mentioned mod converted to espfe format?

I'm not very familiar with the espfe conversion process, so I can't comment on that. Sorry.

Should, but only if all are loaded in Xedit (with this script: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/56396) or ESLifier at the same time for the subsequent forwarded records to be updated. Otherwise, it will break the facegen permanently and the only way to fix it is to replace the plugins with the originals or reinstall the mods completely.

ESLifier is the better option if you're not extremely familiar with Xedit, since it handles all that expertly and automatically. Plus, writes to an output file so nothing is permanently overwritten in case something goes wrong (and it still can). Downside are, it also doubles file sizes and the output file is everything from each mod jumbled together, making sorting files per mod eslified a massive pita. So if drive space is at a premium...

I really like this mod and the add-on, sadly when mia and serah banter, a weird script will mess their follow behavior, even worse when the banter triggered seconds before fight, resulting in CTD, i wish there's workaround.
