Guest kimbale Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 That is already awesome and i would totally start a new game right now and build me some dwemer Juggernaut!!!! Converting all shields would make you one of my personal heroes!
fifteenspades Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 Have re-done ( and or re-doing atm ) the animations, before they were all custom but since every NPC would use them it just looked way to awkward in game. The animations are now just slightly modified vanilla ones. still working on making dual wielding shields for all vanilla ones. Things to do : -Still need a way to add an armor rating to the weapons if anyone has a clue on how it can be done let me know thanks. I have tried to make a custom enchant over and over and failed, don't have time to learn to script . -finish animations to make sure either all or most shields look okay with them. -add recipes to make them forgable ( would you like them to be able to made at just basic smithing? or only w/e smithing perks you have. i.e : dwarven perk = dwarven shields etc etc) -adjust the speed of all the shields to swing slightly slower then swords do, increase the weight, change all sounds
Guest kimbale Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Whoah, you're awesome, fifteenspades! That's some thorough modding you do! Hm, one could just make a little script to add a "Juggernaut Mode" buff with extra armor when two shields are equipped. Or when the mainhand shield is equipped. That would require scripting though... Just having a big blocking buff enchantment would be great too. I'd use it without it too, it's just too cool. With the forging, i would go for the vanilla scheme of tying the recipes to perks. I like it for immersions sake. You should make the materials for the dual shields the base shields though, so you can just convert one you found. All the detail stuff you do is totally wonderful... Even the sounds and all! I'm soooo looking forward to this!
fifteenspades Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 Won't be able to work on this till after thanksgiving/short time before it. So hopefully this will be a completed mod in alpha stages around early December. Sorry for the wait ^^
fifteenspades Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 So new job/Christmas is making this delayed even more =p However i have finish almost all the animations now and adjusted stats of bi-sheildings to make them feel like a shield. Things left to do : Recipes Armor on them Apply to all vanilla shields ETA : No clue =s
fifteenspades Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 I don't want to say this is abandoned however, Until a way to add armor ratings to apparel is found either by me or someone else with whatever method this entire mod is pointless =s All the work is done except that one critical factor, but having a shield-sword doesn't actually help at all because it has no armor rating :C. So until i can figure it out/someone else, this Project is kind of Abandoned. Sorry for those looking forward too it ^^
Guest Ragna_Rok Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 its on my list... but im gonna try another approach. ps: mainly im sad you dont remember all those nice conversations on the nexus chat we had a couple of months back... you simply forgot me
Guest kimbale Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Woohoo! Welcome back! I've looked into this again, and the main problem is the CK (or Skyrim) being an asshole. Enchantment types are hardcoded, so this won't work (armor bonus = constant effect, enchantment with constant effect = CK says its apparel.) But you could always run a script that adds armor when the mainhand shield is equippped. Armor is a AV like anything else and equipping can be used as hook. I'll look into this. On another note: I'm still loving the idea, how about some special skills? I could make animations for those. Like a ground slam with both shields that makes everyone in the area stagger and stuff like that.

Attached to the shields so it doesn't check all the time. And then just add damageResist AV (this is in fact physical armor) depending on the shield equipped. I don't know abot unequipping though, have to check for that...
fifteenspades Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Animations are easy to do just tedious as hell because i hate how bones work in skyrim. The problem with new shield animations are the Bi-Curious shield is a 1 handed Sword basically, So you will be using those animations for all 1h swords, also unless you have a player only Mod for animations all npc's will be using them. No idea how to use/make scripts like 0 clue i understand what you are saying about that script but idk how it would be done. Also if i used scripts you would have even more scripts then is already required. Since the only way to make the shield block ( in left hand ) is using Dual Wield Parrying mod which i have permission to use in my mod. @ Ragna Sorry, but i have no clue who you are =p. Don't feel bad though i can barley remember anyones name unless i consistently talk to them every few days/weeks. Also, For your request of Unarmed animations/finishers i assume you are talking about When you go into Killmove? ( VATS basically )? If so, then you are talking about Paired animations, and animating those is relatively a new thing that is possible ^^. I am still learning how to make them work, but atm i have no time. If i have time to animate i am usually working on animations for Forbidden Incest =s/ working on my skyrim album. ( i have a Screenshot problem )
