thatruth25 Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 Was messing around with WW settings and changing things for my game, and I discovered sims protocols for WW. I read through the information on the site, but I'm still pretty confused. What is it, and how would you use it? Any examples would be very helpful!
Dovaklin Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 (edited) This mod is an infrastructure for determining rules of engagement between sims. The idea is simple: This group can/can not do this in this situation. It is a part of the autonomy system for a more hands off approach to playing without needing to constantly be directing sims in specific sorts of conduct. As you play, with the way the game functions - Sims can change their personalities dynamically and you may find things happening in the simulation you do not want...Like public sex. I'm not kink shaming and that's just an example. Whatever you want sims to absolutely do or absolutely not do, protocol rules can be created for that. Think of it as rules of engagement with expansion for the whole world instead of just your household or the sims you directly manage. Edited November 24, 2023 by Dovaklin
MrGrey Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 I don't see the point in these protocols, unless you're prohibiting sex.

Athlon69 Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 its useful in my gameplay so that my sim will not randomly get ask for sex with an npc aside from their partner or have an npc ask to join sex. sims can be pretty invasive with other's privacy sometimes which could be true IRL lol
MrGrey Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 You can use the loyal trait or the WW Eternally Faithful attribute to prevent sex. Still no point in protocols; Great idea but they don't override anything "forbidden" by the squeamishness of the mod which in some ways is overly puritanical. It's just a game.
