saladboy21 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 As the top says. I had the brawl bug, installed the fix, saw it was checked as active and...still have the brawl bug. Any suggestions?
srayesmanll Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 The brawl bug patch does not fix all brawl issues. Look through the comment of the mod - you'll see plenty of reports of where it didn't fix it. According to the description, it looks for specific keywords for the magic effects, so if the effect does fit the filter it can still affect brawling. Also make sure of the load order - BOSS places the patch pretty high in the order (near the top).
saladboy21 Posted October 20, 2013 Author Posted October 20, 2013 Ah, that might be part of the problem. I left it where it appeared near the bottom. I will change it and try. Thank you for your time.
srayesmanll Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Even positioned at the BOSS-suggested location, you may still run into the brawl bug. The main problem may be that the mod actually causing the brawl bug has settings that bypass the Brawl Bug Patch filter. Hopefully moving the mod up will take care of it.
saladboy21 Posted October 21, 2013 Author Posted October 21, 2013 Sadly even making it the first esp did not help.
saladboy21 Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 Update: SoS was the culprit. With SoS and Aroused's effects turned off in MCM, brawl worked.
srayesmanll Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 That is very strange. I have both of those installed: SOS (full version) and Aroused, and the Brawl Bug Patch works perfectly fine for me. I also have Better Vampires installed (which was another source of the brawl bug in my game) and the patch works fine for it, too. And this is in the BOSS-placed position. I wonder if you have another mod installed that is putzing/disabling the Brawl Bug Patch, which makes the brawl bug reappear for SOS. Again, very strange... If I had known that you had SOS installed (tsk...tsk..tsk... where is your load order???? ), I would have warned you on that one. It's the "Schlongify NPC" option that causes the issue. If you disable prior to a brawl, you can brawl without issue. Just wait 10 secs or so to let the scripting update to stop the process, then begin your brawl. Then recheck the option after the brawl.
