RAIC Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Noob question here, but after 7 hours of set ups and trouble shooting to get at least most mods I've out in working, I thought I'd just ask to save some time. I have 6 animation packs installed, only one of which is showing up in the mod settings but stays on "updating..." indefinitely. On loading a safe I get the message about something being blacklisted and when triggering anims, nothing happens. One mod interaction gave the response, that all animations in that cathegory are blacklisted... How do I unlist them? Are they even properly installed? Potentially many more questions....
JimUpdating Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 this is an animation pack going into SLAL that is triggering this message, or is FNIS or Nemesis or what?
RAIC Posted October 25, 2023 Author Posted October 25, 2023 Turns out I ran FNIS as a standalone instead of from my mod manager. I figured out how to do that now. The problem is, because SexLab is already installed, it won't load in the animations. Is there a way to reinstall? Cleaning the System seems to be ineffective.
RAIC Posted October 26, 2023 Author Posted October 26, 2023 ... I believe I broke FNIS in my effords to fix the issue... I can't start it via my mod manager anymore. completely removing and reinstalling it did nothing. Creating a new modding profile did nothing either.
ShalaxiHelbane Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 You're probably going to need to say which mod manager you're using as that may impact who is in a position to help.
RAIC Posted October 27, 2023 Author Posted October 27, 2023 I tried removing the manager completely and reinstall everything. FNIS still isn't working. Does it store data elsewhere? I might have to purge that.
Dorabella Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Are you sure you have done things correctly ? If instead of messing around , you had made us the FNIS report , we would have found the problem Often, you at SE , install non-compatible animations and then , are surprised that they don't work
RAIC Posted October 27, 2023 Author Posted October 27, 2023 I am now sure I didn't. I think the issue was, that I ran FNIS outside of the manager. Not knowing how a positive would look like I proceded as normal. When I found out later, I ran it in the manager and it looked better. Not knowing about the animation cap, I falsely assumed it had put out something despite the warning. When I later again tried to reduce the amount of animations by deactivating pacs, I noticed that FNIS wouldn't start any more. Not having retained the bit that I have to click "de-install creatures" in FNIS before doing so I foolishly removed the pacs in question. FNIS didn't recover from that even after resetting, then reinstalling and then reinstalling the mod organizer. Now FNIS won't work at all from the manager, I can still run it as a stand alone, but it doesn't get the input then.
RAIC Posted October 27, 2023 Author Posted October 27, 2023 That's the actual error message I get when I try to run it. Instead of executing it tries to open, but closes immediately and then repeats for 10 or so times. Also SKSE randomly started opening the game in a different language and I can't find a way to change that. In Steam it is properly set to english, as is the mod organizer...
Dorabella Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 After installing FNIS , did you start it according to the instructions given ? Spoiler
RAIC Posted October 27, 2023 Author Posted October 27, 2023 The issue is, that I cannot run that anymore and I don't know why. That was the reason for reinstalling it in the first place.
Dorabella Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Skyrim AE for Beginners - V 2.0.0 (3BA / HDT-SMP / HPH) Skyrim SE for Beginners - V 3.2.6 (3BBB / HDT-SMP / HPH) Certainly , they can help you . Surely you did something wrong . The only suggestion is to proceed step by step . The more things you put in without testing , the harder it will be to solve a problem
