[XCL] [0.20] Bimbo's Day Off

A mod for our beloved bimbo characters. Doing chores or working in a stuffy office or whatever is super boring, right? But they kinda need to be done... unless, maybe someone gets just a little bit distracted... 🧠

 

With this mod characters with the Brainless Bimbo side effect may experience additional brain freeze moments when trying to do their morning chores, find a job, go to work or do their laundry. Instead they may waste all their time or even end up at the wrong place.

 

The probability of this happening depends on your character's intellect. You can change the base frequency in the mod options. The settings are:

• Frequently:     Intellect level 1 - 1 in 2 chance | Intellect level 10 - 1 in 8 chance
• Occasionally:  Intellect level 1 - 1 in 4 chance | Intellect level 10 - 1 in 16 chance
• Rarely:            Intellect level 1 - 1 in 8 chance | Intellect level 10 - 1 in 32 chance

You can set these separately for chores, work/finding a job and doing laundry and also turn each of them off completely.

Keep in mind that even at a 50/50 chance you may still get several workdays in a row every so often.

 

Note that this currently overrides the Live-in-Maid side effect. I figured this makes sense as it's not intentional laziness that's simulated here. Also, it gives players another way to see the forced maid scenes with stepdad. And there's always the option to turn it off.

 

Cheat:

I've added a cheat code intended for playtesting but I figured some people might like to play around with it, too. If you use this, bimbo characters will always 'succeed' their skip checks. Here's what you need to do:

1. Open the console by hitting ` or 2
2. Enter (set:$BDO_perfect_bimbo to true) into the dialogue box (including the parentheses)
3. Benefit?

I haven't played with it yet but I'd just like to say I love the concept of this mod. Simple and elegant, yet impactful and immersive. Definatly adding it to my list for next time I play!

Thanks! Good to see some folks might enjoy it. Btw, I'm planning on adding an option to select different probablities when I have the time. You may want to wait until then.

This has to be the most fun spirited mod I have ever tried. Wandering aimlessly and forgetting things are my superpowers, so makes me feel right at home.

Just a headcanon scenario but there could be game stuff in there. Attraction/respect/friendship changes could happen. Does Alexia catch you? Does she freak out? Is she flippant? Does she secretly like it? Dom/Sub changes could happen. Sorry, sharing my depraved thoughts. This mod is fantastic for immersion in my Spike Fun "I'm too dumb to stop coming to this bar but also my other half wants to live here" save 😁

No need to apologize! The mod has only grown so (reasonably) big due to player feedback. Thank you for your thoughts! I will add them to my notes but I can't make any promises right now. I don't have any immediate plans for an update and not a lot of time at the moment. But I will most likely need to look into it anyway once 0.20.8 is released. So we'll see
