How to uninstall a body texture replacer?

So I downloaded a high rez body texture mod, thinking I could run it no problem since I can run most texture replacers.

Problem is, now it lags the shit out of Obivion, I am pretty sure i found it on this site somewhere, all i know is it is suppose to give skin a more high rez, and shiny/oily look.

Anyone know how I can uninstall it?

Depends.  Since you don't even give us the name of it then how in the heck are we supposed to know?  Was it an OMOD file?  If so then just disable the OMOD.  Was it a BAIN install?  Then use Wyre to remove it.  If you installed it manually (drag and drop) then you are pretty much fucked.  You'll have to either hunt down everything it installed one file at a time or install something else (lower texture type replacer) overtop of it.

I installed manually, so I'll assume this will be a long process..

I tried re-installing HGEC, didn't overwrite it. So that got me nowhere.

I attempted to find the replacer again to find the files it replaces, but I've had no luck. I can't remember what it is called, embarrassingly enough..

look first for textures replacers that you like for all npc   than go to your game data/textures  and remove the files to a backup place then install the textures you assembled and test your game      the backup is usefull if you missed a file or 2 for easy put back what is missing.
