Bar Girls on X-Change! [Discontinued] [0.18a]

Sometimes, if a bar girl mentions she's on the pill, she'll actually be on the pink pill -- X-Change! This mod makes some tweaks to dialogue, bar girl behavior, and post-sex mechanics to integrate X-Change lore into the gameplay.

 

Currently, any girl who is on "the pill", and isn't religious, will be on X-Change. After all, they didn't say which pill they were on! Since there's only four bar girls though, it's entirely possible none of your 4 girls are X-Change users. In that case, you may need a new save file to see the small tweaks I've made.

 

If a girl is on X-Change, she will:

- Have slightly different chats with you in the bar

- Give you rewards for a good performance in bed, or semi-randomly punish you with a pill spike if you fail to please her enough.

- Ask for you to pay for X-Change doses when you're going out to the nightclub, which can have a major positive affect on your relationship.

- Remark if she meets you in a female body, and have a relationship change accordingly.

 

Distant future plans:

- Girls using different pill types, such as breeders or the BR pill variants.

- Girls on X-Change inviting *you* out to the bar, or wanting to be around female you.

Not a fan of mods that rely on chance to spawn. I had a playthrough that didn't have a single x-change girl. ? 

 

Also would be nice if after the girl spiked you she would take a blue pill to fuck you. To show you how it's done. ?

I also wouldn't want this mod to make certain bar girls X-Change girls every time by default. Maybe a good compromise would be to just up the chance rate that any given bar girl is on X-Change.

As for the spawning behavior: I figured that since there's only 4 bar girls currently, not counting Mariselle, it was just a compromise I'd have to make. If there were more then I wouldn't feel so bad about making at least one a permanent X-Change user, but right now I like preserving the variation between playthroughs.

 

As for blue pills: she's already on a pink pill -- she can't take a blue pill! But I see what you mean though, you want more interactions with the girl that spiked you. Me too. Just beyond the scope of what I have the time for at the moment.

I thought so too until It dawned on me that I can still use demo pills while on pink pill. So it's either an oversight (or a exception for gameplay reasons) or there's a lore explanation that I don't know about. But yeah, I understand that it's too much work right now.

A bit of both, from what Aph has said in the server. It's partially motivated by gameplay to keep things manageable that you can take a demo pill while on a Pink variant, but also that the Official X-Change pills and the knock-offs that are sold by DynaPill use totally different technologies, allowing them to coexist. The blue pill and the pink pill cannot overwrite each other because they're using the same biological mechanisms, and they'd conflict. They use microbes to change your form temporarily, and restore it at the end. Meanwhile the pills by SWP, InstaGirl, WANGL, etc. are using different types of nanotechnology which doesn't conflict with the X-Change's function.

 

That being said: there's no reason a knock off with blue-like effects can't exist! It just hasn't been created yet by any modder or Aph, to my knowledge.

No, the mod is discontinued.

Any chance of this being updated? Know it's been discontinued but have to admit it is one of my favorite mods. No idea how much work it would be so obviously less a question of when and more curiosity if it will ever be a possibility.
