I removed the broken app files, so the extremely broken npcs (prostitutes, nightlife etc.) should be back to vanilla aside from rich01 who is invisible because she was the only one that was broken from the rich_wa npcs. The edited clothing should still appear aswell

@gtaman9 Would you be able to send me a list of all of the bugged variations you have removed in this most recent archive? I can replace the removed ones with vanilla variations so we don't need to use AMM as a workaround.

Dude, you are so awesome! I was hoping so hard (pun intended) to come here and see someone saying this.

If you guys wouldn't mind fixing up the strippers & prostitutes version too that would be amazing.   ?

The game just isn't the same without some nudity!!

is updating it really that hard ?, i figured someone would have by now. or is it about author's permission?

I have no idea about modding so sorry if it's a stupid question.

Yeah, I've reached out to woodbricks for permission to upload a fixed version, but he hasn't responded yet.

Just post it here? He might be long gone and it's not like your uploading it on Nexus. You're also only fixing it.

Yeah please and thank you. The original creator shouldn't have created it if he wasn't going to keep it updated. Not to mention not leaving permissions open in the first place....smh People on the internet....

I mean, let's give the guy some respect where it is due; but I've been trying to get ahold of woodbricks for a long time now, I really don't think he's around anymore. :/

@vbu010 I don't think anybody would mind fixing a dropped mod, you're doing the good work here sir, and restoring our beloved game to it's rightful glory! :)❤️

Edit: Do you still need a list of the models? I only have what the other fellow posted, but I'd be more than willing to run around and find others if you need some help.

To be fair, I assume a lot of work has been put into the mod, so hissing at creator for creating and leaving it behind is weird.

Tried meddling with it myself, took 6 hours to do moxes from scratch. Wonder if fixing only the broken ones would be faster.

I wanted to try it too, but I can't even get the damn archive to extract. Wolvenkit or whatsitcalled gave me a headache.

If someone can explain to me the technical aspect I will gladly spend some time fixing a few models.

Not sure how helpful this will be ?

Download and install WolvenKit. Launch it.

Get all the plugins available.

Either load necessary files from the mod or search it up in the search bar on the right, since first you should know what's needed to be edited I'd load from the mod.

(1.)Find the mod you're loading from, the archive should be in your game mod folder already( or you will have to set up separate folder for it).

(2.)Select the files you want to add to your project (right-click) and (3.) add to your project.

((2.)) Cookedappearances if no longer used I think.

(1.) Click open (or double-click) the file you want to modify the one selected contains most of the aldecados that are spawning. (2) and (3) direct you to "clothing, skin and items" the npc's are wearing.

((2)) Number of variations specific npc group has.

((3)) Number of stuff that make up npc's look.

More than happy to help where I can. Never modded CP2077 b4, but I know my way around computers and have done some game dev work over the years. If anyone needs a hand, just point me at what you need help with and I'll do my best to figure it out.

@vbu010, are you still working on this?

Posted (edited)

Alright, I followed @xlord9 Instructions and I think I get it. So you really don't need any blender / 3D software experience. It's just text based select / remove clothing from the npc entries, right?

Kinda hoping @vbu010 comes back so we don't have to start from zero.

Oh, also, there is a new mod on nexus called Naked NPCs Tube Dancers which replaces ... well it's self explanatory.

Found that one, looks promising as he says he is planning on doing other NPC groups as well!

Surprised to hear that all that is necessary is removing the clothing entries, but I suppose it makes sense considering the original Gone Wild mod also uses meshes that aren't in the original game.
I think I will jump into Wolvenkit tomorrow myself and start learning as well.

Since I don't have any experience, that's the first way I found. Really hoping blender would be faster in some way.

Spoiler

Like I've mentioned a group of 49 (moxes) took me 6 hours from scratch (finding where to go and what's happening), editing-checking the game for clipping-editing and looking what needs to be removed next. So a lot of time went into saving-loading stuff and game.

The "Naked NPCs Tube Dancers" is a good start and idea. If doing this from scratch a lot easier to show something in small NPC chunks.

No one is hissing at the creator, and the amount of work that went into it is irrelevant. The issue we're staring at now is the general concept behind why the "Right to Repair" movement is so important. You shouldn't have to depend on the whims of a product's creator (regardless of what it is or whether or not it's free) to keep it working, and I think that's just good policy all around. There is a huge difference between fixing the mod a creator abandoned or refuses to work on and stealing his work, claiming it for your own, or redistributing for purpose of self-gain.

My issue is that people can be such snowflakes that they will literally go scorched earth on someone just because they solved the problem on their own, hence likely why the other guy wanted permission first.

I mod creators they don't like people fixing their broken work then they can not release anything to begin with or maintain it themselves. In the modding space in particular, it's doubly hilarious this is still an ongoing issue since it's common for modders to move on from a game or modding in general without saying a word. The fact that you see how hard it is to do it yourself also supports help from the community as being the better option.

I'm sure you didn't mean anything by it but this very thing was a huge mess in the modding scene not too long ago, with Nexus at the center of it.

Anyway, that's my rambling 2 cents. Thanks for your attempt.

On a side note, it's hilarious how useless Redmod and official modding support has been, though that's unfortunately also shot the modding scene in the kneecaps as a result... but I did predict this not too long ago, lmao.

Agree with the rest of the post though.

On the other note, good job with the workaround for the mod!
