Can you recommend an ENB?

There are so many ENBs to choose from and so little difference in the screenshots that it's really hard to know which one to choose. So far I've been using RCRN and while I like the dark dungeons and nights I'm not really satisfied with the sharp image. I would like a softer image but without all that blur and grain that most ENBs have. It also needs to be performance friendly since my CPU is of the old school. I tried Enhanced Shaders but the result was a catastrophy so no need to recommend that one. :)

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

But personally, I recommend Performance and Realistic ENB which is on Nexus. The visuals are great and fps loss is quite minimal compared to other ENB's. There's also Somber Lut Sepia, a favorite of mine in terms of outdoor lighting and K ENB Extensive has some vivid visuals. I switch between these from time to time when I grow tired of one or the other.

Thanks for your replies. I have decided to stick to RCRN because every other ENB mod I install makes me disappointed and I can configure it how I want to.

Try FXAA; It can be used on a lower-end PC if you have problems. All it does it enhances lighting by a large proportion. My other suggestion is realistic (Not realism!), ENB. Those are the ONLY two good ones. No matter what one does, or what they say they do, those are the only good ones.

I'm using True Vision ENB on it's performance setting and I'm quite satisfied with it. I get good fps with enboost too. If you haven't tried it I can recommend it. Maybe I'll try the ones you mentioned but I'm quite picky with colors so I'm not sure if they will be my taste.

CoT+ELE+ELFX with PROJECT ENB+SweetFX.

The most photorealistic ENB! Photorealistic should be a very powerful word, to promote how great this ENB setting is.

Well...that also depend on your monitor calibration as well. Some ENB setting can look darker, washed, brighter, etc. I'm using SweetFX to readjust the brightness, contras and color until I get the right calibration. I also add a little personal touch to make it fit with ELFX interior.

For the performance issue...in the enbseries.ini, you can lower the filter quality from 0 to 2. And turn off unnecessary features like Sunray, DoF, SSAO, etc. If you know how to do it properly, you can even get almost the same performance as without using ENB without sacrificing a lot of the original looks. You can do the same trick to other ENB settings in Nexus too.
