Starfield Screenshot Thread

I'm completely naked except for a pack. "They're already dead, They just don't know it yet." (I forget the movie, but that's a great line, and completely true in this case.)

Yep, I've got a chameleon pack I actually found pretty early, Maxed out stealth and lots of points into gun stuff. They really don't stand a chance. I should note that a turret on this map took me out in three shots. Playing naked isn't easy. Reload. Do it again, but better. I love Beth games!

I've been a bit quiet the last few days. I've got a new machine: i7-14700KF, RX 7900 XTX and 128 GiB Ram. Spent the last three days getting it set up the way I want it with Artix Linux as the OS.

And I've got Starfield running on it, under Linux. Ultra settings no less.

Now I just need to get it running under MO2 with SFSE, and then make sure nifscope and SF1Edit run and I'm golden!

The amount of detail Bethesda added to items that are only visible from the players perspective for a fraction of a second is impressive. After multiple attempts I managed to capture missiles and bullets in frame while still close enough to see my character firing them.

There were three planets more with breathable air and bathable water, but intense solar radiation (not sure about the translation, in german it says: Extreme solare Strahlung) so it isn't possible to walk outside without a spacesuit:
Archimedes III

Gamma Vulpes I
Bardeen III

The last one was too cold (planetary average temperature -21°C)
McClure II

Slowly making replacers of some of the posters. I couldn't find any reasonably sexy images of women in the same design style that the game had on ice skates, so I had to change the four derby images to roller skate rollerball.

One of the things that I like about Starfield is that it's worth renaming weapons again. Fallout 4 it never was because whatever I wanted to do, there was always a unique in game that did the same thing or better.

This is my current loadout :)

People who say Starfield is ugly, a 2010 game, are either idiots, have never played the game at all or tried to play it on a PC that was mid range in 2010.

My shot there isn't even trying to be a good looking screenshot. It's literally a snap shot of a creepy/funny companion randomly standing in front of my pilots chair - something slightly possible in that particular Taiyo cockpit module. Look at the quality of the lighting. You can't tell that NPC is supposed to be a 50+ year old woman. And that is a 100% VANILLA game, not a single mod. Just the latest beta edition available on Steam.

No composition, no framing, no post edit photoshop. 100% vanilla game funny snap.

The game can be, and is, gorgeous.
