Valis fans rejoice! There's finally a nude patch for Valis 1...'s Famicom version. (I didn't do the Genesis/Mega Drive version because I couldn't figure out how to decompress the sprites). I was going to make Yuko fully nude, but then NPCs decided to unambiguously mention her miniskirt and boots, so I had to reconstitute them. That said, I could still work with this: her boots are now open-toe, and her miniskirt is wonderfully parted in front so you always get a clear view of her crotch. (Also, her clothes are now red to prevent her genitals from being yellow). Plus, I was able to make Reiko completely nako without any canonical discrepancies, and even Queen Valia has shed her cloak! As always, feedback and improvement-suggestions are welcome.

 

This patch works on both the original Japanese ROM and the fan-translation. It even works on the improvement hack Valis++ with no issues. Just apply it like you would any IPS patch.

 

Oh, one more thing: for those unfamiliar with this game, the first level starts off in the real world, with the main character wearing realistic clothing. You'll need to finish that area before her outfit switches over. I did make her Real World skirt a bit shorter, though I couldn't go too far since it'd make her three-frame walk cycle look awkward.
