Can someone make this Gear Spreading mod work for this latest versions of Skyrim?

The mod Gear Spreader seems to not work anymore on the latest versions of Skyrim, as you can see in the comment section as well on Nexus.
The mod creator has additionally added the source code along with the mod.
If you don't know what the mod does; basically it makes armor and weapons from various mods you have available as loot or in the shops in the game world.
