Deathmaw Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 So I have 2 annoying problems at the moment. I am gearing up for a new play through and have been going through mods and what not. My first issue is that when you first meet aela and the others killing the giant her bow has like no texture: Also RIa's shield looks the same. Now the Iron arrows and hunting bow that I beleive Aela uses look fine when I use them no graphics issues, same for the steel shield. Any idea's? The second issue is I seem to get some weird ass slowdowns. I usually run around on a steady 40+ FPS but when I look in a certain direction sometimes it drops to (I kid you not) 0.7 FPS. I have had this happen a couple of times in Riften and also happened when I attacked Aela and the others when I wanted to see there weapons but only when I was looking towards the ruined tower. My current loadorder is : GameMode=SkyrimSkyrim.esm=1Update.esm=1Dawnguard.esm=1HearthFires.esm=1Dragonborn.esm=1ApachiiHair.esm=1ApachiiHairFemales.esm=1AzarHair.esm=1RaceCompatibility.esm=1Skyrim Project Optimization - No Homes - Full Version.esm=1ClimatesOfTamriel.esm=1hdtHighHeel.esm=1Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Main.esm=1UndergroundBathhouse.esm=1XFLMain.esm=1ZaZAnimationPack.esm=1HighResTexturePack01.esp=1HighResTexturePack02.esp=1HighResTexturePack03.esp=1Brawl Bugs CE.esp=1Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp=1RaceCompatibilityUSKPOverride.esp=1Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp=1Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp=1Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp=1Unofficial High Resolution Patch.esp=1Serana.esp=1Chesko_Frostfall.esp=1Better Dynamic Snow.esp=1ClimatesOfTamriel-Sound.esp=1Skyrim Shadow Striping Fix.esp=1StaticMeshImprovementMod.esp=1StaticMeshImprovementMod-FurnitureChestSnowFix.esp=1AK- Clothe Dead NPCs.esp=1Armored Skeleton.esp=1drop dg elderscrolls.esp=1Dual Sheath Redux.esp=1Hunterborn.esp=1Hunterborn_Dawnguard-Patch.esp=1Hunterborn_Frostfall-Patch.esp=1Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Climates of Tamriel - default.esp=0Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Climates of Tamriel - lvl-1.esp=0Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Climates of Tamriel - lvl-3.esp=0Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Climates of Tamriel - lvl-4.esp=0Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Climates of Tamriel - lvl-2.esp=1Perks Unbound.esp=1Perks Unbound - Dawnguard.esp=1Perks Unbound - Dragonborn.esp=1ZazResources.esp=1Convenient Horses.esp=1Auto Unequip Ammo.esp=1Footprints.esp=1RaceMenu.esp=1RaceMenuPlugin.esp=1UIExtensions.esp=1WetandCold.esp=1WetandCold - Ashes.esp=1SkyUI.esp=1iHUD.esp=1battleflute.esp=1BlackSacramentArmor.esp=1BlackSacramentDBReplacer.esp=1Bouncy-Bodices-Booties-Belts-Stockings.esp=1Cloaks - No Imperial.esp=1Cloaks - Dawnguard.esp=11nivWICCloaksNoGuards.esp=11nivWICSkyCloaksPatch-No ImpGuards.esp=1imp_helm.esp=1imp_helm_dawn.esp=1KTABladeOfWoe.esp=1MashupUNP.esp=1nightshade_armor_UNPB.esp=1Roman armor and weapons.esp=0Roman armor and weapons replacer.esp=1D13LeveledItemsUpgradeD.esp=1UNP Jewelry Variants V3.esp=1UNP Boots.esp=1Ezuka's Wedding Rings.esp=1DeadlyDragons.esp=1Breezehome_Fully_Upgradable.esp=1disenchantment_font.esp=1Run For Your Lives.esp=1When Vampires Attack.esp=1ub_invite_any_npc.esp=1ub_npc_rework.esp=1ub_cell_armory.esp=0ub_cell_bedroom.esp=0ub_cell_cavern.esp=1ub_cell_darkarea.esp=1ub_cell_dislayroom.esp=1ub_cell_kitchen.esp=0ub_cell_maintenance_room.esp=1ub_cell_teleportroom.esp=1codifredsenhancedsmithing.esp=1NudeYngvildSpirits.esp=1posesivecorpses.esp=1Schlongs of Skyrim - Light.esp=1dD - Enhanced Blood Main.esp=1dD-Dragonborn-Dawnguard-EBT Patch.esp=1walk.esp=1xvisionchildren.esp=1xvisionchildren - hearthfire.esp=1aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.esp=1RealisticRoomRental.esp=1RRR_Hearthfire-Patch.esp=1EnhancedLightsandFX.esp=1ELFX - Exteriors.esp=1ELFX - NoBreezehome.esp=1ELFX - NoTaverns.esp=1ELFX - Dawnguard.esp=1ClimatesOfTamriel-Dawnguard-Patch.esp=1ClimatesOfTamriel-Dragonborn-Patch.esp=1ClimatesOfTamriel-Nights-Level-2.esp=1WerewolfSecondHowlToggle.esp=1Werewolves.esp=1YetAnotherWerewolfImprovement_DG.esp=1dovahkiinrelax.esp=1InvestedMagic.esp=1DGInvestedMagic.esp=1Artifact Disenchanting.esp=1Artifact Disenchanting - Dawnguard.esp=1Artifact Disenchanting - Dragonborn.esp=1ElaborateEnchantments.esp=1Enchanting Freedom.esp=1FormsEdit.esp=1DragonCombatOverhaulDragonborn.esp=1The Dance of Death - Ultimate Edition.esp=1ForswornHAIR.esp=1XFLConfig.esp=1XFLDialogue.esp=1XFLPanel.esp=1XFLPlugins.esp=1Aeri.esp=1BeautifulAela.esp=1HousecarlBeauties.esp=1Mjoll.esp=1Sylgja.esp=1Lightning1.esp=1dD - Realistic Ragdoll Force - Realistic.esp=1fastercellrespawn.esp=1getSnowy.esp=1PrivateNeeds.esp=1RealisticWaterTwo.esp=1RealisticWaterTwo - Legendary.esp=1GyldenhulMineFix.esp=1Ezuka's First Person Ring Fix.esp=1mslZaZArachnophobia.esp=1Infinite Werewolf.esp=1standingstoneoverhaul.esp=1SBF Jordis.esp=1SBF Adelaisa.esp=1ScriptTest.esp=0Rayya Makeover.esp=1AryaFollower.esp=0SBF Iona.esp=1SBF Jenassa.esp=1SBF Frea.esp=1SBF DB-Inisiate.esp=1SBF Brelyna.esp=1SBF Aranea.esp=1SBF Borgakh.esp=1SBF Anneke.esp=1SBF Illia.esp=1NonStopMiningAndChopping.esp=1UNPB Compilation.esp=1NPCPrivateNeeds.esp=1Bashed Patch, 0.esp=1Dual Sheath Redux Patch.esp=1SGHailPackAllinOne.esp=1 I am running latest SKSE and ENBoost. My system specs are: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. AMD Phenom II X4 975 3.6GHz Quad. Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 TI. 8GB Ram. Running 3.14 Nvidia drivers I think as the new ones do not agree with the 500 Series of cards and cause lockups. Temps are fine. Any help would be great. Thanks Deathmaw
Uriel Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 FPS drops might be caused by ENB. At least, such issues were observed by different people when testing some versions of ENB. What version of ENB are you using now? Latest 0.224? About the drivers, i'm using 326.80 with my GTX570. No issues at all. About the no texture on Aela - try to disable BeautifulAela.esp and look if it will change this. Just a guess though.
Deathmaw Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 FPS drops on ENBboost? I thought the whole point of it was to boost performance? I have the latest version.
Uriel Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Well, in most cases it actually does that. Another point of ENBoost is to prevent memory related crashes. And that's where things become complicated. How do you know you're using the latest version? You've downloaded the fresh ENB from the Boris Vorontsov's website? Also, which ENBoost functions are you using?

Lets try it with this.
Uriel Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 No, if it's only a couple days old, it should be ok. Boris stopped working on memory and gone back to graphics features now. So, with ENB's graphics disabled by "UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=true" there should not be any difference for you.
Deathmaw Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 Ok fixed the texture issue it was amidborn book of silence weapons
Uriel Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 You can try to set VideoMemorySizeMb= to a higher values. Like 2048 for example. Or just try to leave it at 0 for autodetection. Limiting to 896 is no good.

Uriel Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 VideoMemorySizeMb is not an amount of video memory onboard your videocard. It can be set to a higher values, in this case some of your RAM will be used to store them. That's why AGP interface was replaced by PCI-E. I've got 24gb of RAM and i set VideoMemorySizeMb=6144 while my video has 1280mb total. Works pretty good.

CGi Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Depends on how fast your RAM and FSB is, as paging out textures to the system RAM will come with a slow down.it's just matter of how noticable it is.
Deathmaw Posted October 5, 2013 Author Posted October 5, 2013 Well my ram is DDR3 1600MHz 9-9-9-24. The max bus speed of my motherboard is 2600MHz.
CGi Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Can't say if this is good or not, as it's always best to avoid paging VRAM into the system RAM, to avoid slow downs from transfering data back and forth between those 2. Just give it a try and see if the slow downs are to much, but in case of Skyrim i can almost 100% assure you, that the game will crash, when VRAM gets paged out into the system ram, if the data is not delivered back fast enough. On the other hand, raising the limit of VRAM Skyrim can use over the available amount, does NOT means the game will use it. So you need to test it by installing 4K textures and loads of other HD textures, because as long as you don't have a 3GB card, data would have to be swapped out, leading to a ctd.
Uriel Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Sorry, i completely forgot about this thread. You can try setting your VideoMemorySizeMb to something like 4Gb(4096). Load game, save on a new slot. Then open console and set: player.forceav speedmult 500 tgm Then when your run speed changes(sometimes it takes some time to change) you just... RUN AROUND SKYRIM LIKE CRAZY. If it goes well, without CTD's, you're ok. Load a save you made(not autosave! it might be overwriten already from your running) and play.
