Weird resolution/full screen issue.

So I've been playing full screen on 1024x768 resolution since I bought the game on steam,  but now I'm having a weird problem.  Unless I set the resolution to match my desktops 1600x900 it plays the games in a box surrounded by black borders.  Does this make sense?

 

It's like it's windowed and centered on my screen.  It's annoying because it looked better in 1024 (at least I thing so),  all the characters on screen no look elongated and overly thin.

 

Any idea on what I said or what a solution could be?  :/

Sounds like a graphics driver issue.

I've taken a few so I'll post em,  but the "boxed fullscreen" issue doesn't really show in the screens.  :/

Make sure that you have selected a wide screen setting - it will have a (') by it to indicate that it is one.

 

If that does nothing then it may be that your particular resolution isn't supported.

This is an issue with your particular video card. Make sure the latest drivers are installed. Also, you can try using a d3dx9 wrapper like ENB and utilizing a "fullscreen" or "windowed fullscreen" option there.
